The Zoo is home to more than 50 species of animals—about 200 specimens in all—many of which are brought into classrooms as part of the Junior Museum & Zoo's science outreach program with local schools. We offer a menagerie of science programs for schools and community groups, as well as classes, summer camps, and birthday parties for families.

This storytime is suited for those older than 2 years, but all ages are welcome.

THEY’RE HERE!💫We are beyond thrilled to be adding these two amazing animals.

Lemurs are known for their critical role in ecosystems, being seed distributers as they search for fruit and nectar, moving seeds that get caught on their fur from one area to another. Because of this, they are lovingly referred to as “creators of forests”.

Here at the PAJMZ, we are happy to have these ring-tailed lemurs, a beautiful pair join our ecosystem and add their dynamic personalities to the zoo. While they adjust to their new home, they are being given plenty of space and time to explore their new exhibit spaces, and it is possible they may choose to be in a behind-the-scenes area during opening hours.
