THE TRANSFORMATION IS UNDERWAY

We’re fully into the transformation with Stomp and Pounce, our big-pawed boys!

What a difference a few weeks can make — taking them from two fluffy little nuggets to half-naked little werewolves. The Lykoi transformation is such a wild process, and these boys are putting it on full display!

Give them another month or two and, just like that, the coat will be back again. It’s crazy how dramatically these wee wolves can change in such a short amount of time.

And just for fun… swipe to the last photo. That’s the SAME pair of boys just three weeks ago!

The Lykoi never fails to amaze us.

The Little Vampires Are Growing Up

Our Transylvanian “Vampire Cats” are changing by the day!

Csenge, our lighter little girl, and Tünde, our darker beauty, are beginning to discover that there is much more to life than sleeping and snuggling. They’re starting to play, chase after feet whenever they wander past, and investigate everything within reach.

It’s hard to believe how quickly these two have gone from tiny newborns to curious little personalities. Watching the very first Transylvanian litter born in the United States grow and develop has been an incredible experience.

Csenge and Tünde may be small, but these little Vampire Cats are already showing plenty of personality.

Welcome to Faolan, Ophelia — another unique and enchanting bloodline joining the WeirdoCatCo family for our foundation of Transylvanian cats here in America.

There is something especially fitting about welcoming a little Vampire Cat named Ophelia into our family. A name steeped in old-world romance and tragedy, for a little girl who seems to have arrived with a bit of her own magic.

We are incredibly grateful to Grey Heart Cattery for entrusting us with this lovely little lady. As we build our Transylvanian breeding program in the United States, one of our greatest goals is to establish a diverse foundation by bringing together unique origins and bloodlines. Every new line adds another thread to the tapestry we are creating, and we believe Ophelia has an important place in that story.

We have a feeling this little girl is going to be a star.

A very special thank you to Agnes and Zsolt for personally bringing the kittens over, and congratulations to Brandi on the gorgeous little boy that came over as well. It was such a pleasure to spend some time together, share a lovely dinner, and talk about cats, breeding, and the future of this fascinating breed. Building these friendships across borders makes this journey all the more special.

And then there is Ophelia herself.

This sweet little peanut has crossed oceans and arrived in a completely new house, a new country, and a whole new adventure — and somehow, she already seems to know she belongs.

She's playing, seeking out attention, bonding with her new family, and exploring her new kingdom with absolutely no hesitation. She has the sweetest little personality and the most ridiculously adorable meow you've ever heard.

Perhaps there is a little bit of Transylvanian magic in this one.

We are so excited to watch this beautiful girl grow. Her story is only just beginning.

Potion Makes Lykoi History!

We are absolutely thrilled and incredibly proud to announce that Potion — GC Beeblebrox Bubbling Brew of Faolan DM — has just become the FIRST CFA Distinguished Merit Lykoi!

For a female cat to earn the DM (Distinguished Merit) title, she must produce at least five offspring who achieve the rank of Grand Champion or Grand Premier.

This accomplishment is especially meaningful because Potion is our very first home-bred Grand Champion, co-bred with our dear friend and co-breeder Desiree Bobby of Beeblebrox. Watching this girl grow from a tiny kitten into a Grand Champion, and then taking the journey with her kids (and now grandkids), has been an incredibly proud experience.

Potion has given us so much more than beautiful kittens. She has given us a legacy.

Congratulations, Potion! You are not only, hands down, the best fuzzy mousie-fetching machine I've ever seen, but you are also a wonderful momma and bring so much to the breed. We are beyond proud of our homegrown girl and so incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped these special kittens along the way.

Thank you to the incredible judges and feline clubs of the CFA for the journey, the camaraderie, the helpful comments and discussions, and for welcoming the Lykoi into the world of CFA cat showing. What a ride it has been, and we couldn't be more delighted with the progress we've made.

Most of all, we cherish the friendships we've made and the fun weekends spent with friends sharing our love for these crazy wee wolves.

What an honor. What a legacy. We love you, Potion. Extra fuzzy mousies to fetch for you, my dear.
