We love our weirdo cats! Featuring Lykoi (the werewolf cats), Transylvanians (the vampire cats), and an occasional Donskoy (the elegant shapshifters).

My name is Connie Hurley and my Cattery is Faolan Lykoi, home of the werewolf cat. I work with three other fabulous ladies in a combined breeding program under the heading of Weirdo Cat Co. My breeding partners are Desiree Bobby (Beeblebrox), Rianna Quinlan (Leviosa), and Brandi Sellick (LegendNLore). In my professional life, I am a board-certified veterinary surgeon working at a busy specialty referral and trauma center in Wisconsin. In my personal life, I enjoy taking care of my cats, showing Lykoi in CFA, geeking out on genetics, and spreading the weirdo cat addiction to unsuspecting folks. At Faolan Lykoi, I specialize in the Werewolf Cat - the Lykoi and we're branching out into the Transylvanian breed (Vampire Cat) with a Donskoy in the mix, as well. I enjoy sharing the Lykoi in the show halls and introducing people to these unique little monkeys. When I scrape together a little free time, I also enjoy painting & drawing, knitting, gardening, and spending time with my family, but most of my time is split between work and my cats!

Bedhead, big paws, and purr motors built like V8s. Meet Pounce and Stomp. 🖤

These three-month-old black roan Lykoi brothers are making some serious progress regrowing their coats after their first big kitten molt. Lykoi coats go through some pretty dramatic changes, and these boys are in that fun in-between stage where the new coat is coming in and their werewolf looks are taking shape.

Pounce, our longhair, still has some spectacular Einstein bedhead wisps of his old kitten coat hanging on as he transitions. Honestly, the crazy floof suits him.

Stomp, his shorthair brother, has a ridiculously cute white skunk stripe running down his back. Whether that little stripe sticks around as he matures remains to be seen, but we're enjoying it while it lasts!

And those big, wolfy paws? Just look at them. These boys are going to be heartbreakers, especially with the absolutely ridiculous purr motors they inherited from Momma Indigo. Apparently, she passed along the big-engine package with no volume control.

Both boys are already reserved and will be graduating to their new homes soon. Their lucky families have a whole lot of personality, oversized paws, and purrs coming their way!

Meet Ophelia 🖤

Now six months old, dressed in midnight tones, with a striking expression and mesmerizing eyes that seem perfectly suited to her name. This little Transylvanian girl has a beauty all her own, with the kind of look that makes you stop and take a second glance. A petite vampire with plenty of presence!

Next weekend, she’ll be heading to Indy for the CFA show, where she’ll be a dark little vampire amongst the werewolves for Howloween! She’ll make an appearance in the HHP rings and spend the rest of the show greeting visitors, socializing, and introducing people to this fascinating breed.

Coming to the show? Come find us in Indy and meet Ophelia and her lupine Lykoi brethren in person!

🖤 Csenge & Tünde — almost 4 months old! 🖤

A little Transylvanian kitten update just in time for Halloween! 🎃🐈‍⬛

🤍 Csenge is our gorgeous high-white girl with a beautiful color and pattern. She’ll be staying here at Faolan, and we’re looking forward to bringing her out to shows soon! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this lovely girl.

🖤 Tünde is our striking, dark, contrasty little mystery. Spookily dark and full of Halloween vibes, she’s getting ready to graduate to her new home next weekend. She’s our very own little vampire, and we know she’ll bewitch her new family!

Two sisters, two very different looks, and twice the Transylvanian magic!

The Lykoi has one of the most unique appearences of any CFA breed. So unique in fact that when cats with white hair throughout their fur and lacking fur around their face and paws, people thought at first they were cats with a health issue. More cats with this mutation were found, and breeders began mating them. What they discovered was that these cats had a unique gene. Outcrossing to domestic cats (for genetic diversity) these breeders eventually created the Lykoi breed as we know it today. It is a breed still in development. If it was not for the work of breeders, this strking breed would not exist.

**Now THIS is what we mean when we say Lykoi change fast. 😂🐺**

Stomp and Pounce, our gorgeous polydactyl black roan boys, were in full molt **just last week** — both only beginning to sprout their new coats across the tops of their heads.

Fast-forward one week… **LOOK AT THEM!** 😳

Freshly sprouted coat is popping up all over their bodies, and these two little werewolves are transforming before our eyes ....and is that a SKUNK stripe?

🐾 **Pounce**, our long-haired polydactyl floof, has nearly finished shedding his old coat. He’s down to just a few wispy stragglers while that gorgeous, darker new coat comes roaring back in.

🐾 **Stomp**, meanwhile, has apparently decided that being a werewolf wasn’t quite unique enough and is auditioning for the role of **adorable little skunk.** 😂 His new coat is coming in with the cutest pair of lighter white dorsal stripes! Although his color and pattern will continue to change, we find this current snap shot in time just adorable!

This is one of the things we absolutely LOVE about Lykoi. Their coats can change dramatically from one week to the next, and you never quite know what your little werewolf is going to look like when the molt is finished.

Both boys are already reserved for their new homes, but we couldn't resist sharing their latest transformation progress photos!

Our little Transylvanian girls are continuing their color shift and we love it! 🧛‍♀️🖤

These two little vampire girls are right in the middle of their color transformations, and we are absolutely mesmerized watching it happen.

🖤 Csenge (high white) is beginning to reveal her darker face, with the deeper coloration starting to develop around her white muzzle, eyes, and ears. And those gorgeous white eyebrows are really starting to pop! She is turning into an absolutely stunning little Transylvanian.

We love this girl so much that she will be staying here at Faolan. ❤️

Keep an eye out for Csenge in the HHP rings later this year — we can't wait to see what the judges think of our little vampire girl!

🖤 Tünde — soon to be Lilith — is also changing beautifully. Her roaning is filling in, and that gorgeous, ghostly grey undercoat is becoming more and more apparent as her color develops.

While Csenge is our little keeper, Tünde is getting ready for her next adventure and her momma is anxiously waiting is going to be getting one of the sweetest, most human-loving little creatures to ever exist.

Seriously. This girl is such a love. While the others scamper about chasing toys, she sits at my feet begging for "uppies". She wants to be with her people, loves her humans, and has completely stolen our hearts. ❤️

Watching these girls develop has been such a fascinating experience. The Transylvanian's color transformation is part of what makes these cats so incredibly special — you really have to watch them grow to appreciate just how much they change!

Our very first American born little vampire babies are growing up too fast! 🖤🧛‍♀️
