Finished Wolverine!

As a reminder, I am closed until June 1st. Please leave a message if you call, as I am unable to answer phone calls until late in the evenings.

If you harvest a bear and would like it mounted, it must be frozen as soon as possible. Please plan accordingly to ensure the hide is properly taken care of. Thank you for your patience and support!

Chipping away at the lineup of bear rugs. I have most of the spring bears mounted, and I’ll be closing for the next two weeks while I complete my annual training with the National Guard.

Once I’m back from drill, I’ll finish the remaining bear rugs, start stretching hides, and send them off for sewing.

After the rugs, I’ve still got a full queue waiting in the shop; one lifesize black bear, two half lifesize black bears, and two shoulder mount black bear for those eagerly awaiting my call.

I truly appreciate everyone’s patience. As a one-man operation, I’m working 12-hour days to get your mounts completed and back to you as soon as I can. Thank you for keeping me busy!

Not often do you see a bear with 4 eyes, nor do I wish to ever work on one again.

With bear season here, this is a good reminder to please take your time when skinning out the head. There are plenty of great YouTube tutorials that show the proper process, and using a fresh Outdoor Edge or Havalon blade makes a huge difference.

Wrapped up 2 bear rugs today, with 2 more lined up for tomorrow.

Huge Mountain Goat Mounted 🐐

Just wanted to give a little notice. I start my two week annual training with the National Guard next weekend. I will be closed until June, but I’ll still be returning calls and messages in the evenings when I have time.
On May 13, I am closing my books for incoming rugs until fall. I had a lot of successful muskox, mountain goat, Kodiak bear hunters and red stags from New Zealand this spring, and I’m almost at full capacity.

Big bruiser roughed in and mounted today, started at 5:30am and wrapped up around 6:30pm. Tons of alterations and about a mile of sewing 😂. He’ll spend the next couple weeks drying, and will be monitored closely over the next few days to make any adjustments while the hide settles. Habitat will be added after the bear is finished.
