This year summer classes will start May 31st. Classes will go for six weeks, skipping the Fourth of July weekend, then more classes will be offered after that.
There are only four spots available
in each class.
This schedule is subject to change depending on how classes fill. If there is little interest in a class, it will be dropped or another class may be added to that time slot to accommodate as many people as I can.

Below you will find the current schedule:

Saturday classes and times:
8:45-9:45am Canine Good Citizen

10-11am Intro to Trick Dog

11:15-12:15pm Advanced Obedience

2-3pm Intro to Scentwork

3:15-4:15pm Agility 2

4:30-5:30pm Star Puppy

8:45-9:45am Intermediate Trick Dog

10-11am Canine Good Citizen

11:15-12:15pm Rally 2

*Canine Good Citizen class is designed to help practice the skills your dog will need to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. The test will be taken the last day of class.

*The Trick Dog classes are designed to teach your dog a whole new skill set with many fun tricks to show off to friends and family. These tricks also help your dog to work different muscle groups.

*Advanced Obediece is designed to help hone your dogs skills. It is for dogs who already have a basic understanding of obedience and are fairly consistent with performing these skills.

*Intro to Scentwork is for those dogs who have not taken a Scentwork class before. In this class they will learn how to use their nose to trace scent back to the original source.

*Scentwork 2 is for those dogs who have already taken a Scentwork class and would like to continue learning new skills and locating new scents.

* Intro to Agility is for those dogs who have not yet taken any agility classes. In this class you will learn all about the agility equipment and how it is used. You will also learn some handling skills.

*Agility 2 is for the dogs who have taken agility before and want to continue to hone their skills and advance in this fun dog sport.

*Star Puppy class is designed to teach your puppy (up to six months old) proper socialization as well as basic behaviors. It is also geared towards teaching owners proper care of their puppies. At the end of this class, your puppy will take the AKC Star Puppy test and if s/he passes will receive a certificate from the AKC (American Kennel Club).

*** Please note that positive paws classes are reward based, not punishment based. Therefore use of corrective tools will only be used if 100% necessary, with the goal of fading them out, and only be allowed in obedience classes. This also means that high value rewards will need to be brought for your dog. Make sure you have their favorite treats and possibly their favorite toy. ***

This is Q, he is boarding with us for a few weeks while his owners are out of town. Disclaimer, if you leave your dogs with me, this is a very likely scenario lol Don’t worry, he received lots of cookies for his troubles.

Classes will be starting back up Friday August 23rd! This will be the last round of classes for this summer!

I have added four new classes!
The 1st class that has been newly added is a Group Practice class on Friday evenings. This class is FREE and will be led by my daughter. This is a good opportunity to work on solidifying skills and learning a few new tricks. This is also a good opportunity if you have a child who has been wanting to work with your dog and just needs a little gentle guidance. This class is open to the first four to fill it and requires your dog to know basic obedience.

The 2nd new class is Scent Work! This dog sports class introduces your dog to finding the source of the scent and gives a better understanding of how odor travels. Your dog will learn how to identify and indicate to you the source of the odor.

The 3rd new class is a Dog Sports Sampler. In this class you will get to sample Agility, Scent Work, and Rally.

The 4th new class is the second level of Trick Dog. Those who have taken the first level will be able to continue on and learn even more new tricks with their dogs!

Classes are filling up! Agility at 3:15 completely filled so I started a second agility class at 4:30pm on Saturdays but only two spots are left! Don’t miss out!
