Yesterday I really enjoyed the Puppy Brunch at The Tiny Pony restaurant in Yucca Valley, Ca. It was special for me as I not only met the person responsible for reporting my new dog Courage to for rescue, I met lots of new dogs who needed my help and yours.

Ducky is the little tan cutie who has a clean bill of health as far as xrays go, but still just falls over for no apparant reason. Duckie is looking for a special parent who could invest in researching his condition further. I have the opportunty to help him with some massage therapy this week. He’s in foster care, reach out to if you are interested in adopting this precious sole, and check her page for the post with more details.

And then there is Kevin! The adorable brindle boy who has just a bit of anxiety. I showed his foster mom some calming massage methods and recommended CBD from , calming music from and  pheromones from He is with

Qamar, whose name means “moon” in Arabic, may be small, but she is one mighty little Frenchie. ❤️

After becoming paralyzed from IVDD last year, Qamar’s journey has required patience, determination, and a whole lot of love. Thanks to ongoing hydrotherapy, she continues to make wonderful progress. Today, she’s moving better, pushing herself up more confidently, and even walking in her wheelchair with greater strength and independence!

💦

Hydrotherapy is an incredible tool for dogs recovering from neurological injuries and mobility challenges. The warm water supports the body, reduces stress on joints, improves circulation, and allows dogs to safely strengthen muscles that can be difficult to use on land.

💦

Of course, none of that explains Qamar’s biggest secret weapon... her adorable Frenchie attitude. 😍 She shows up ready to work, wins everyone’s heart, and reminds us that determination comes in small packages.

We’re so proud of this sweet girl and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next! 🌙✨

Naomi rocked her very first hydrotherapy session! 💙🐾

At 8 years old, Naomi is beginning to experience some of the common challenges that come with aging, and hydrotherapy is a wonderful way to help support comfort, mobility, and joint health.

The warm water helps reduce pressure on aging joints while allowing dogs to safely build strength, improve movement, and feel more comfortable overall. And judging by Naomi’s session today… she absolutely loved it! 🌊

We’re so excited to be part of her wellness journey here at Barkingham Pet Hotel. ✨

🎉✨ Courage’s Happily Ever After ✨

After two long years, Courage has officially found his forever home with Wendy and Rob. 💙And to make it even sweeter, he also gained a furry sibling named Calvin… a horse. 🐴

To say we are emotional about this adoption would be an understatement.

Courage was found roaming the streets for months in critical condition. He had a fractured hip, was battling tick-borne diseases, and was severely anemic. Despite everything his body had gone through, he never stopped loving people. Once we were finally able to get him to safety and into a foster home, we saw just how incredible he truly was.

Over the last two years, Courage watched so many other rescue dogs come and go as they found their forever homes. While he patiently waited his turn, he continued to love every person he met with his whole heart.

Courage is one of those once-in-a-lifetime dogs. He wants nothing more than to be by your side, cuddle with you, and love you with his whole heart. He is your ride or die through everything.

During his journey, Wendy played a huge role in helping Courage heal. She provided hydrotherapy for him due to his injury and immediately formed a special bond with him. She had told us before that she would love to adopt him one day, but at the time, it just wasn’t the right moment.

Then recently, we got the text.

Wendy said she was ready to adopt Courage.

Honestly, we were in complete shock. The kind of shock that turns into tears because you realize one of your longest residents is finally getting the life he always deserved. 🥹💙

Now Courage gets to have a home of his own. A family of his own. A couch to cuddle on. A life where he will be spoiled, protected, and endlessly loved.

We truly could not be happier for him.

Happy life, Courage. You waited so long for this moment, and it was worth every second 🥹🥰💙

Some gave two legs.
Some gave four. 🇺🇸
🐾
Today we honor the heroes who never came home — and the military working dogs who served fearlessly beside them.
🇺🇸
At our hydrotherapy spa, we see courage every single day. Dogs overcoming pain, paralysis, surgery, and impossible odds.
🇺🇸
Their resilience is a reminder to never give up.
🇺🇸
This Memorial Day, we remember. ❤️

Berlin is an 8-year-old Great Dane who’s recently started losing a little stability in his hind quarters, so he’s just begun hydrotherapy with me at Barkingham Pet Hotel — a place he already loves and frequents often.
🐾
Since he’s boarding with us for the holiday weekend, it was the perfect opportunity to spoil this gentle giant with not only hydrotherapy, but also a relaxing massage therapy session.
❤️
And when I say giant… I mean GIANT. 😂
I’m pretty sure Berlin is nearly 2x my size, yet somehow he still thinks he’s a lap dog.
💦
We’re excited to help keep him strong, comfortable, mobile, and enjoying life for as long as possible. Senior dogs deserve to feel good too.

Over two years ago, Ralphie came to me completely paralyzed. His family had been told by veterinarians that it may be time to let him go — but his parents wasn’t ready to give up on him. Instead, they chose HOPE and brought him to Miss Wendy at Barkingham for hydrotherapy.
💦
After just ONE session in the warm water, something incredible happened… Ralphie walked out of the water on his own.
💦
Some may call it a miracle, and sometimes hydrotherapy can feel exactly like that. The buoyancy of the warm water helps support the body, reduce pressure on painful joints, improve circulation, and allow dogs to move in ways they simply can’t on land. That very first session changed Ralphie’s life, and it’s been an honor to continue helping him stay strong and mobile ever since.
💦
Now, 2.5 years later, Ralphie is doing wonderfully. He heads away for the summer, but while he’s in town, you can count on seeing him every week at Barkingham Pet Hotel for his hydrotherapy sessions and low-impact exercise to help keep him feeling his best.
💦
If you know a dog struggling with mobility issues, weakness, paralysis, or aging-related changes, please give us a call. Sometimes all a dog needs is a little support, a little hope, and a chance.

Java is a wonderful 15.5-year-old Chocolate Lab who has been coming to see me for hydrotherapy for several months now, and it has been such a joy watching him stay active and strong in his senior years. Hydrotherapy helps support his aging joints and muscles while allowing him to exercise comfortably in the warm water with less strain on his body.
💦
Java is also a proud member of the Board of Directors for Animal Samaritans, and he continues to inspire everyone around him with his sweet spirit and determination. We love seeing him and helping keep him feeling young, mobile, and happy. Go Java! 🐾

Frenchie Friday featuring Gordo 💙

About a year ago, Gordo came to me completely paralyzed, and ever since then he has continued getting stronger with every hydrotherapy session. The warm water helps support his body, reduce pressure on his joints, improve circulation, and allow him to move in ways he simply couldn’t on land.

When Gordo first started, he needed a flotation device to help hold him up in the water. As his strength improved, he slowly began pushing himself up on his own and building more confidence with every visit. He now does amazing in the water and also has a wheelchair to help him get around when he needs extra support.

There is also a wonderful non-profit that loans wheelchairs to dogs in need at no cost!❤️
Do you know a Frenchie struggling with mobility issues? Give us a call — hydrotherapy can make such a difference.
