This white face stole my hat and banana. At least he gave back the hat. I think its a fair trade. Especially since I was going to give the banana to a howler monkey earlier.

Been introducing/relocating some bright blue, green and other color western fence (ie blue bellies) in various areas of our property for a few years now. Bit of natural selection paired with semi-selective breeding. This seasons eggs are starting to hatch out so should be interesting to see what new color pallets we will see this season.

Shed and 2 meals in. From our mystery pastel pied girl which is also het axanthic. Still haven't reproduced mom who knows what else shes hisong.

Update on our Genetic Dreams Pastel Pied project. The 1st clutch from this mystery girl we hit 1.3 with nothing that looked like mom (1st pic). This is our 2nd clutch from this girl and 1st chance to line breed a son back to mom. I was hoping to finally figure out what she has going on.

When we saw what was pipping out things got more confusing. Now that all 4 hatchlings are out. The mystery deepens. Line breeding back and once again nothing looks like mom and evidently mom carries an unknown axanthic gene. Which with incredible luck she passed onto her son and more luck I managed to hit 2 visuals in a unknown het axanthic x het axanthic pairing. Since mom was part of import bundle this is going to interesting. Guess it's a good thing I've held back all shes produced.

Those who have followed me for a while know that several years ago I bought a extremely nice "pastel pied". She has always been a mystery but being a girl and mouser she was a slow grower. Finally bred her last season to a light normal pied and got 1.3 from her. All were NOT what I was expecting and while nice none looked like mom. But didnt look like normal pieds or normal pastel pieds. This season I was able to pair her "pastel pied" son back to her. Should have gotten super pastel pieds, pastel pieds and normal pieds.

1st one out of the egg this am. And 3 more pipped . I'm waiting for the others to come out but just the sneak peek has me stumped. I shouldnt be seeing what I THINK I'm seeing. I'll post full body pics when they come out of the egg.

Woke to 2 clutches out this am. This is from a pastel pied x black pastel butter het hypo. For all the bad in this hobby THIS makes it all worthwhile. Even more beautiful in rl.

First Cg blade clown x het clown of the season is out. They were a few days late from the 7/30 due date. Got a bit skunked on the odds only 2 visual clowns out of 8 eggs. Doesnt look like any holdbacks from this clutch all will be made available and be ready to ship after their 5 meals. Dm if you want one or all.
