Advanced Tricks Title Spotlight: Trudy & Seamus!
Indian River Dog Training Club offers AKC Trick Dog classes for every level, and nothing shows the fun factor better than Trudy and her doodle superstar, Seamus.
Seamus lives for learning tricks and performing like the lovable ham he is. He even convinced his mom to sign him up for Advanced Tricks so he could chase his AKC Advanced Trick Dog title — and as you can see in the video, he absolutely crushed it.
We’re so proud of this joyful, hard‑working team and the sparkle they bring to training.

Seamus Says: “Stand Back, Humans… A Star Is Performing!”

If you’ve ever met Seamus the amazing Doodle, you already know he’s 50% fluff, 50% ham, and 100% ready for his close‑up.

From high‑energy spins to dramatic, ham‑level poses, Seamus tackled every trick with the enthusiasm of a dog who’s certain the applause is for him (it is).
He wasn’t just good. He wasn’t just great. He CRUSHED IT.

Now he’s proudly strutting around with his Advanced Trick Dog title, reminding everyone that training is meant to be joyful, goofy, and wildly fun — particularly if you’re a doodle with a flair for drama.

As a dog club, we are excited to celebrate and honor the first IRDTC Tricks team to achieve this highest level — AKC PERFORMER ELITE Trick Dog Title, Tami and Mika Mercedes Sergent.

This title is far more than checking off a list of tricks. It represents teamwork, patience, creativity, and the joy of learning together. Every milestone along the way required building skills, strengthening communication, and keeping training fun — even when a trick needed that extra spark of imagination to master.

What makes this achievement truly special within our club community is the shared spirit behind it. Our instructors are committed and members cheer for every small win, encourage one another, and celebrate each dog’s unique personality and progress. Titles like this reflect not only the dedication of the handler and the enthusiasm of the dog, but also the supportive environment our club works hard to create.

This prestigious milestone shines a light on what we value most — growth, partnership, and the belief that every team can succeed with positivity, consistency, and a community that’s always rooting for them. It’s a proud moment for Tami and Mika, and a joyful reminder of what makes IRDTC such a wonderful place to learn, train, and celebrate our dogs.

A very proud moment!

IRDTC’s combination‑level classes give teams the opportunity to test at both levels during the session. Jaxon decided he was ready early and convinced his mom to let him try for his Intermediate Trick Dog title before finishing the class… and he CRUSHED IT and the video proves it.
