If you have an emergency and it is when the clinic is closed, we have a veterinarian on call 24/7 for emergencies! Just call the clinic and your call will be taken by the emergency service.

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH SHOUTOUT:
Help us congratulate Carly! Carly is from Spring Hill, Tennessee. She attends Murray State University and is an Animal Science major. Outside of work, she loves to rodeo and compete in barrel racing and breakaway roping. Carly also loves going on outdoor adventures with her dog and friends. Her favorite thing about FVC is her amazing coworkers who have taught her so much, making the transition into the clinic very easy! We LOVE having Carly on our team!

Here is the surprise!!!!
Meet our new doctor —
Dr. Nick Prather, DVM

Nick is a Northern Kentucky native and a University of Kentucky alumnus (BS, Animal Sciences). He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University in 2024. He loves caring for all species — large, small, exotics, and wildlife — and enjoys treating goats, cattle, horses, birds, bearded dragons, and especially dogs and cats.
Outside the clinic you’ll find him on the golf course or the water fishing, cheering for UK and Auburn, and spending time with his wife, Kelsie, and their dog, Theo. Nick is also an active member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church. Dr. Prather is a go-getter who enjoys unusual and challenging cases. He’s a self‑described “pharmaceutical nerd” when it comes to finding the best medical options for every patient. We’re excited to add his modern internal-medicine skills and wide-ranging interests to our practice — all to give your pets the absolute best care. On a personal note Nick is easy to talk to and is passionate about every case he sees.
