Our clinic opened in the summer of 1952 by Dr. C.E. Dr. Kim Novak started at the clinic in her early teens as a kennel assistant. ually took over the entire practice upon Dr. Loomis' retirement. Dr. Caitlin Rinker graduated Veterinary school and joined the practice in 2017. We opened our brand new building in November of 2017. Dr. Nicole Olson joined the practice in 2018, bringing us large animal capabilities. Dr Melinda Truckenbrod lends a hand as a relief veterinarian also. Our Doctors:

As I celebrate 50 years as a veterinarian, I can't think of a better way to mark this milestone than by giving back to animals in need.

I am giddy gob smacked and so very grateful to everyone who donated to our fundraiser for Pet Project. With your generosity, and my contribution, together we raised nearly $20,000!!

I have been incredibly fortunate to spend the past 50 years doing work that I love, caring for many wonderful animals, and getting to know the people who love them. It's meant a great deal to me to celebrate this anniversary by helping even more animals in our community.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared our fundraiser, and helped make this possible. Your generosity made my 50th Anniversary especially meaningful. I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate.

Just a little information about our holiday hours. We will be closing early on Friday, July 3rd at 2:00 pm, and closed all day on Saturday, July 4th. Hope you all enjoy celebrating our big 250th and stay safe!!

Our hearts are heavy today at the Ottawa office. Today we said goodbye to our very much so beloved clinic kitty, Sushi. She was famous for always sitting at the reception desk curled up in her “inbox”. She came to us in 2014 to be spayed to go to Pet Project, much to our surprise she gave birth to 3 kittens in the morning hours leading up to her spay…well the rest is history. We fell in love with her over the weeks that she nursed her kittens and decided to keep her. Her daughter Stella, our other beloved black clinic kitty, stayed as well. For the last 12 years, almost to the day on June 30th, we have enjoyed her silliness and constant companionship. She was the best supervisor any employee could ask for and we paid her in spray cheese and constant pets. She was the best clinic kitty we ever could’ve hoped for. She will be horribly missed. Godspeed sweet Sushi, that inbox will never be full again. 💔
