Message from Dr. Sorensen:

As many of you know, I am back to being the solo doctor for the time being. This means we are booking out several weeks in advance. I want to clarify a few things that have caused some issues in the last couple months. We DO NOT see walkin appointments, but do offer urgent care appointments when possible. I am out of the office every Tuesday afternoon and most Thursday afternoons, so availability is limited.

We have also seen an uptick in disrespectful and disgruntled clients, when we explain that I am not available. Please note that just like your medical provider, there may be times where you may have to seek care at another facility. I am doing the best I can, but the amount of attacks from people when they hear “no” is daunting. Please read the below information on our urgent care appointment policy.

Lastly, our office has a zero tolerance for verbal abuse and disparaging comments. While I am happy to have a respectful conversation with a client who has a grievance, I am unwilling to service those who have chosen to voice their distrust and displeasure via social media or reviews. For those that chose that route, we recommend seeking services elsewhere. We are not for everyone, and we understand.

What is an Urgent Care appointment?
We reserve 1-2 openings when possible for urgent cases like vomiting, diarrhea, and trauma. These appointments cannot be booked until the morning of for obvious reasons. Therefore, they are first come first served by calling when we open at 8 am. I know this is not a perfect system, but it is the fairest way to ensure that everyone can be serviced. Dr. Sorensen also attempts to see additional drop offs if the schedule allows.

As of August 6th, Dr. Sorensen will be the solo veterinarian at Sagehills Vet.
The first few weeks will require patience on everyone's part as we are already fully booked and have to adapt to a new schedule, routine.
Please be understanding during this time of transition.

The following days we WILL BE CLOSED: 8/15, 8/18
The following days we will be without a doctor, but we will have our LVT and staff available: 8/11, 8/19, 8/20, 8/21, 8/22, 9/4, 9/5

With Frenchies being the most popular breed in the US this year, please keep them safe from heat stroke. They are not able to process heat like most dogs due to BOAS. Keep them inside and cool!

We are looking for volunteers for Saturday June 7th. Duties include helping with registration, data entry, recovery, clean up, instrument cleaning and more.

Due a family emergency, Dr. Sorensen will be out of office until next week at the earliest. This means we have no large animal or equine coverage. Please be mindful and kind to the staff while they attempt to help everyone. Thank you for understanding.

While we don’t claim to be hoof trimmers, we love that we can treat hoof disease in cattle safely in our tilt chute.

This little filly made her first trip to the vet at only 8 hours old! Dr. Sorensen artificially inseminated her mom last year, and had to places some stitches today. Love her little tongue 👅. Breeding/foaling season is in full swing!! 🐴 🐎
