Big News: A New Home for HSDC is on the Horizon!

We’re thrilled to announce that HSDC has secured a new piece land off Sawmill Parkway near Bunty Station Road as the future site of our new Animal Resource Facility (ARF)!

This beautiful, peaceful property will give us the space we need to grow and create a low-stress environment for the animals in our care — right here in Delaware County.

But we need your help to make this possible. Our new goal is to raise $1.8 million by October 31, 2025 to break ground on this state-of-the-art facility.

As our community grows, so does the need for our services. ARF will help us:
- Care for more animals in need
- Expand affordable vet care
- Grow programs that help people keep and care for their pets

Stay tuned for more details — together, we can make this vision a reality!

Right now, every gift made in June will be matched up to $25,000 — doubling your impact!

**** Post is no longer current. ****

Animals can die of heatstroke within 15 minutes. Cracking the window does not help, the inside still gets dangerously hot. During hot weather, keep your pets at home. If you see a pet in an unattended vehicle, do not leave until the problem has been resolved!

Adopted

Adopt Jax
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
3-5 year old
Male
13.5lbs
Fence Not Required

Jax is the friendliest & sweetest cavalier! Jax came to FTO as a breeder release . He really seems to love other dogs & all people! He runs to the edge of our fence to greet our neighbors kids & any dogs he can see. He is currently learning to walk on a leash and making good progress! A fence is not required, but Jax would appreciate it. He enjoys snoozing 😴 on our couch or exploring our fenced backyard with his foster cavalier siblings. Jax is learning to play with dog toys and loves belly rubs. He is your typical cavalier that is easy going, loves chilling on the couch, and really loves people. Jax spins in circles with his tail wagging nonstop to greet us when we come home. He is crate trained 😴 & travels well in a car. He is not cat tested. He is fully vetted, microchipped, & had a dental completed. His ideal home would include another friendly dog sibling and responsible older children to give him love & someone home part of the day. Jax is such a happy boy & his tails always wagging for us 💙 Anyone would be SO lucky to adopt this sweetheart! He is such a sweet, silly, & good boy! Apply for Jax at freedomtailsohio.com
