🐾 A Special Plea for Our Littlest Kittens 🐾

If you've ever looked at a kitten and wished you could help, this is your chance to make a life-changing difference.

Right now, we have kittens with Dermatophytosis, more commonly known as ringworm. Despite the name, it is not a worm. It's a fungal infection, similar to athlete's foot, that affects the skin and fur. While it is contagious and requires commitment, it is very treatable.

These babies need foster homes where they can heal while experiencing something every kitten deserves: love, comfort, playtime, and human connection. Without foster homes, they may spend weeks—or even months—growing up in shelter cages during one of the most important developmental periods of their lives.

What fostering looks like:
🐱 Bringing kittens to the shelter twice weekly (Monday and Friday) for treatment
🐱 AM drop-off and PM pick-up on treatment days
🐱 Administering oral medication at home
🐱 Housing them in a bathroom or other easy-to-disinfect space
🐱 Replacing bedding and toys regularly (we provide all supplies!)

Most kittens will need a month or more before they begin to clear, and fosters should be aware that ringworm is zoonotic, meaning it can spread to people and resident pets. If a person contracts it, it typically appears as a red, itchy spot on the skin and can usually be treated with an over-the-counter antifungal cream such as Lotrimin.

We're not going to pretend it's convenient. It's extra work. It's cleaning, medication schedules, and precautions. But it is also incredibly rewarding.

Over the years, many of our fosters have stepped up for ringworm kittens, and they will tell you the same thing: watching these tiny kittens transform from stressed shelter residents into happy, confident, loved babies makes every bit of effort worthwhile.

Please consider opening your heart and your home. Help us ensure these precious little ones don't have to spend their kittenhood growing up in cages.

If you're interested in fostering ringworm kittens, please email [email protected]. These babies are counting on us.

Looking for a professional couch cuddler? Meet Jocko!

Jocko firmly believes that every lap is a lap dog lap if you try hard enough ;)

While he may be a little shy when meeting new people, give him a little time (and maybe a snack or two), and you'll discover a loving, affectionate companion who's ready to be your shadow, snuggle buddy, and snack supervisor.

Jocko at a glance:
• Big sweet affectionate loverboy
• LAP DOG
• Gentle and super snuggly
• Loves giving kisses and being kissed on his head
• May be timid at first but warms up beautifully
• Seems comfortable around other dogs
• Unknown with cats
• Recommended for children 12+
• 4 years old, 64 lbs, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped

Because Jocko can be timid at first and his history with children is unknown, we think he'd do best in a home with kids ages 12 and up. He was nervous during his shelter intake and can be sensitive about certain handling, especially around his back end, so he'll appreciate patient adopters who understand that trust takes time.

If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will happily share your couch, your snacks, and probably your personal bubble, Jocko is ready to meet you!

To meet this adorable guy, please complete a dog adoption application on our website, or contact our dog team at [email protected] or 920-424-2128 ext.108 for more info!

✨ From Shy Guy to Lap Cat Extraordinaire ✨
Mickey Mouser is proof that sometimes the best things in life just need a little time.

This handsome Siamese mix boy may be a bit reserved when meeting new people, but once he feels safe and comfortable, his true personality shines. Mickey transforms into a devoted companion who loves nothing more than curling up in a warm lap and spending time with his favorite humans.

🐾 So sweet and affectinonate
🐾 LAP CAT
🐾 Just wants to love you and be loved
🐾 Good with cats and dogs
🐾 2 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative

Now Mickey is ready for the next chapter—a forever home where he can continue to flourish. If you're willing to give him a little time to settle in, you'll be rewarded with a loyal best friend who will happily keep your lap occupied and your heart full.

Mickey just needs someone to believe in him and give him the loving home he deserves. Could that be you? ❤️

This compact cutie is friendly, affectionate and the perfect balance of fun and chill. He’d love to be your walking buddy, playmate or snuggly couch potato.

Russell absolutely loves people. He greets everyone like an old friend and has a sweet, affectionate personality that makes him impossible not to love.

⭐ Social butterfly who loves everyone he meets
