Thank you for showing us that there is so much more to you than what people see at first glance.

Over the last two weeks, you’ve slowly let your personality shine. We’ve watched you become more confident, more comfortable, and more willing to show the world who you really are. Beneath that sweet face is a gentle, loving puppy who just needed the opportunity to be seen.

As the last puppy from your litter still waiting for a family, you’ve watched your siblings find their homes while you patiently waited for your turn. Being overlooked hasn’t changed your kind heart or your willingness to keep trying.

This Friday, you’ll be meeting your potential adopters, and we have high hopes. We hope they see what we’ve come to know over these last two weeks: a loving companion, a loyal friend, and a puppy who is more than ready for a family of his own.

We’re all rooting for you, Wilmore. Your turn may have taken a little longer, but we have a feeling it will be worth the wait.

A huge thank you to Canine Companions⁠ for inviting us into your space, sharing your home, and giving us the opportunity to learn about service and hearing dogs and the incredible work they do every day.

Founded in 1975, Canine Companions provides expertly trained service dogs at no cost to adults, children, and veterans with disabilities. Their dogs help increase independence, confidence, and quality of life by assisting with everyday tasks, providing support, and creating greater access to the world around them.

Our campers learned about the training process, the partnership between dog and handler, and how these remarkable dogs use their skills to help people navigate daily life. We also discussed hearing dogs, who are trained to alert their handlers to important sounds such as doorbells, alarms, timers, and someone calling their name.

Thank you for opening your doors, sharing your knowledge, and showing our campers how dogs can make such a meaningful impact on people’s lives. The bond between humans and dogs is truly incredible, and we are grateful for the experience

Founded after the owner began preparing fresh meals for his own dog, Rick’s Dog Deli focuses on providing human-grade, minimally processed nutrition made with USDA-inspected proteins and whole-food ingredients. Their meals are formulated to support overall health while avoiding artificial preservatives, colors, and flavors. They also offer customized meal plans and therapeutic diets for dogs with specific health needs.

Our discussion centered around raw and fresh nutrition, ingredient quality, and how diet can impact a dog’s overall well-being. A huge thank you to VEG for opening your emergency hospital to our Camp Doglando campers and dogs!

Today, we had the opportunity to tour the facility, learn about veterinary emergency medicine, and see firsthand how an emergency animal hospital operates. One of the most unique things about VEG is its open-concept design. Instead of traditional exam rooms, the hospital is designed to be open and collaborative, allowing pets, families, and veterinary professionals to remain connected throughout the care process.

Our campers learned about emergency veterinary care, what happens when an animal arrives in crisis, and the many different roles that help keep a hospital running. Experiences like these help connect kids to the world of animal care while showing them the many ways they can make a difference in the lives of animals.

Thank you to the team at VEG for your time, hospitality, and for sharing your knowledge with us. We appreciate everything you do for pets and the people who love them. ❤️
