We here at Walker Street Veterinary Clinic are committed to providing the highest quality care to your pets. To ensure we can continue to offer timely appointments to all our patients and reduce the number of no-shows and last-minute cancellations, we are implementing a new appointment deposit policy effective immediately.



What is the New Policy?


New Client: A non-refundable deposit of $75.00 for Exams, $50.00 Feline surgery and $100.00 K9 surgery will be required at the time of booking to secure your time slot.



Current Client: (Client seen with in the last 4 years) Will not be required to pay the deposit, however if a Current Client has 2 no-shows the client will need to pay the deposit to secure your time slot.



How it Works:

This deposit will be applied directly to your final invoice on the day of service.

The deposit is fully refundable if you cancel with at least 48 hours' notice.

Deposits will be forfeited for no-shows or cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice.



We understand that emergencies happen, but this policy helps us keep our doctors available for patients in need. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Walker Street Veterinary Clinic in Orland, CA is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician/Assistant with a positive and upbeat attitude for our busy animal clinic.

Applicant must be compassionate and strive to honor the human-animal bond.

The Veterinary Technician/Assistant has a vital role treating both patients and clients with professionalism and compassionate care. Responsibilities include but not limited to animal handling, assisting veterinarians in exams, procedures, anesthesia and surgeries, thorough medical documentation, administration of vaccines, in-house lab procedures, radiology, as well as hospital maintenance (i.e. laundry, kennel cleaning, animal waste removal, janitorial duties, etc.)

Strong communication skills, flexibility, professional appearance, punctuality, confidence, ability to accept constructive criticism, multi-tasking and attention to detail are required of the employee. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

We are seeking someone to become a long-term member of our team, not a short-term or seasonal position.

What do you call your pet??? Here at Walker Street Vet, we know that what ppl NAME their pet, isnt always what they actually CALL their pet.

This is Odin. He belongs to WSVC tram member Alyssa. He has had many names. When he is swimming he becomes Posodin (Poseidon). When he cold, he becomes Frodin. When he is behaving, he is Good Bodin. AND... when he gets framed for digging in the trash (because he would never...) he becomes Scape Goatin. 😆 😂 🤣

Happy Holidays Walker Street Vet Families!

We are reaching out regarding our holiday hours for December 2025. In order to give our clinic staff time with their families, we will be closing at noon on December 23rd and we will reopen on Monday Jan 5th, 2026.

We know that many of you may have one or more patients on a long term medication/s. We wanted to give you ample time to get those refills in so that you can rest easy over the holidays. Please contact us with any refill requests by Monday December 15th to ensure that we have your meds ready to pick up before we close on the 23rd.

We recognize the importance of the relationships between humans and animals and we see our clients and patients as extended family. We offer a complete array of services including medicine, surgery, dentistry, and radiology.
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, have a great work-ethic, possess strong customer service skills and be client and team focused. Bi-Lingual and veterinary experience is preferred.
