I’m just about to wrap up my first overnight shift of 4 here in San Francisco. It was a good night. I am told that Carnival San Francisco is this weekend so I will NOT be able to drive or park anywhere near the hospital for the next few days. It looks like I’ll have about a 20 minute walk from the nearest safe place to park. At least the weather will be decent!

I'll be periodically sharing some websites that I refer to quite a bit in my work with forensics and animal cruelty. I will not share anything graphic or particularly emotionally disturbing. The information on these sites is informational and highly impactful to society.
This site (the National Link Coalition) explains and describes the well-established link between animal cruelty and other forms of violence (domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse). The website is fascinating and full of great resources to combat violence on many levels.
