📢 Important Update to Our Online Outpatient Appointment Scheduling

Beginning November 2, all outpatient vaccine or lab work appointments booked online through our website will require a $20 booking fee at the time of scheduling.

Nail trim appointments and appointments scheduled by phone will not require a booking fee at this time.

Good news: This is not an additional charge. The $20 booking fee is applied directly toward the cost of your pet's appointment.

Why are we making this change?

Unfortunately, we've seen an increase in missed appointments and last-minute cancellations for appointments scheduled online. Each unused appointment means another pet misses the opportunity to receive much-needed care. By implementing a small booking fee, we hope to reduce no-shows and make more appointments available for families who need them.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, simply let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment, and your booking fee will be refunded or applied to your rescheduled appointment.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice—or missed without notice (no-shows)—will forfeit the booking fee, which will be retained as a donation to Eaton County Humane Society. Those funds help us continue providing low-cost veterinary care to pets in our community.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to make the best use of our limited vaccine appointments and help as many pets as possible. Thank you for your continued support! ❤️🐾

As National Veterinary Technician Week comes to a close, we want to say one more thank you to our seven wonderful veterinary assistants.

Working in veterinary medicine takes more than a love of animals. It requires patience, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt when things don't go quite as planned.

Our medical team handles busy surgery schedules, helps care for patients before and after their procedures, and plays an important role in making affordable veterinary care available to our community.

It's demanding work, and so much of it happens outside of the public eye.

To our veterinary assistants: We see how hard you work, we appreciate the care you give our patients, and we're grateful to have you on our team. 💛

We've been celebrating National Veterinary Technician Week this week by showing some extra appreciation for our hardworking veterinary assistants! 💛

We brought in Unleash The Feast LLC for lunch the past two days, and they knocked it out of the park once again! Taco bar Monday, pasta bar today, and everything was delicious.

Our medical team puts in a lot of long, busy days caring for our patients, so it was nice to slow down for a bit, enjoy some great food, and recognize everything they do to keep our clinic running.

A big thank-you to Unleash the Feast for helping us treat our team to something special!

It's National Veterinary Technician Week, and we're taking this opportunity to celebrate the seven veterinary assistants who make up our medical support team!

Our veterinary assistants are a busy bunch. From preparing patients for surgery to assisting our veterinarians, monitoring recovery, and helping with vaccine appointments, they're involved in nearly every aspect of patient care at ECHS.

Our surgery days can be incredibly busy, but this crew works hard to make sure every patient receives the care and attention they deserve. Their compassion, teamwork, and dedication are a huge part of what makes our clinic run.

Much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but the care they provide makes a difference for every animal who comes through our doors.

We're so grateful for this hardworking crew! 💛

One more day!

Tomorrow is our our axe throwing fundraiser at Vikings' Edge! The fundraiser runs from 6:00 to 9:00 PM!

Axe throwing is $20 per person, per hour, and Vikings' Edge will donate $5 to ECHS for every qualifying paid hour during our three-hour event.

We strongly encourage everyone to make a reservation ahead of time. There are only so many lanes available during the event.

Reservations can be made here: www.vikingsedge48813.com

Lanes hold 2 to 6 throwers, so get a few friends together and come on out to help support a good cause!

When you arrive, be sure to let Vikings' Edge know you are there supporting Eaton County Humane Society.
