OKC Animal Welfare Our mission is to promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of pets and people in OKC. Open daily, 9 a.m-5:30 p.m. for lost and found and adoptions.

Oklahoma City Animal Welfare's mission is to promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of pets and people in OKC. OKC Animal Welfare serves more than 24,000 animals each year in the City of OKC, and we also provide animal sheltering services for the cities of Del City, Valley Brook and Tinker Air Force Base. You can adopt and look for lost pets at the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter. We also

respond to reports of animal cruelty, injured animals, loose dogs, animals that are dangerous or a nuisance and enforce OKC's animal ordinances. Sydney got to enjoy a little day trip, and she was absolutely AMAZING! This sweet girl is the total package — she rides perfectly in the car, walks like a dream on leash, and loves making new friends, big and small!

She was gentle taking treats, showed off her “sit” skills like a pro, and had the best manners around little kids. Sydney also gets along well with other dogs and has such a friendly, playful spirit.

This sweet boy has been with us since 4/10 (that's 68 days!), and he’s dreaming of a Slumber PAWty at your house! 💤🐾

Nasa would love nothing more than a cozy break from the shelter kennels—a soft bed, some snacks, and maybe a movie night or two? 🎬🍿

If you’ve ever thought about fostering or hosting a pup for a sleepover, Nasa is so ready to be your special guest. Help give this boy the break (and love!) he deserves. In the end, it will help him find his forever home!

🍼🐾 Got any baby blankets you no longer need? 🐶🐱 Our shelter babies would love them! We’re caring for hundreds of tiny kittens, puppies, and small critters — and those small, soft baby blankets are exactly what they need 💖🧺

Each little one uses multiple baby blankets a day — not just to stay warm, but to feel safe, comforted, and relaxed 💤💞 Especially for orphaned babies, those small blankets make a huge difference 🐕‍🦺🐾🐈

We took Dexter out for a special overnight Slumber Pawty and this big sweetheart totally stole our hearts! 💙

Dexter LOVES car rides 🚗, going for walks 🚶‍♂️, and soaking up all the cuddles and belly rubs you’re willing to give. He’s a strong boy but super food motivated—which makes him a quick learner with the right snacks! 🍖

✅ Potty trained
✅ Crate trained and quiet in his kennel

We think a kitty-free home would be best since cats are just a little too exciting for him. 😸🙈
