We have had lots of calls recently for vaccination appointments for pets that are already spayed and neutered. In an effort to help a larger part of our community, we are gathering information on the need for cost-effective and available vaccine appointments in our service areas. If you or someone you know needs a pet vaccinated please fill out the attached form and let us know how we can help. We would love to hear your feedback!

DISCLAIMER: Filling out this form doesn't guarantee an appointment. We are going to try to help as many people as possible but at the moment we are compiling the list to see the level of demand in our area. We are also only doing dog vaccinations at this time, but may add cat appointments in the future.

Sincerely,
The ORH Team

Hi! We are in the process of setting up a vaccine wait list to make sure we can provide vaccines to as many pets as possible. At the moment we are only providing services to dogs. In addition, we can only accomodate 4 dogs per appointment at a time. If you have more than 4 pets please list them all....

Once again Spring has brought an onslaught of new kittens and puppies in our region. Shelters, rescues and fosters are overwhelmed trying to meet the needs of our communities with limited space and resources. Communities of stray and unowned cats continue to grow when unfixed cats are abandoned outside. Okanogan Regional Humane offers free or low-cost spay and neuter services to low income families and community cats. These services are offered through the generous donations of our supporters. If you have unspayed or unneutered animals, please call and get on our waiting list or take your animals to The Big Fix organized by Team Okanogan Animal Rescue. If you are able to support our mission of helping solve the overpopulation problem, donations can be made by mail, by scanning the barcode or by following the link below. Thank you so much to all of the volunteers and donors who make this lifesaving work possible!

Okanogan Regional Humane hosted its third clinic of 2026 last week. Thanks to Dr.Crauer, Shawna, ORH staff and all of our lovely volunteers it went on without a hitch. In total we spayed and neutered 88 animals in 2 days. This brings our total in 2026 to 248 animals over 6 clinic days.

Some of our favorite highlights of these clinics are Yoshi, who was the sweetest boy while waking up from surgery, and a few goofy cats who found interesting new ways to relax. We have also been able to spay and neuter dozens of feral, unowned cats to help control community colony populations. We couldn’t have done this without the generous donations of our supporters and without the help of Petco Love for providing DAPP and FVRCP vaccines to help our community in need. We are still in the process of working through our waitlist, but would love to see all of the pets in need of spaying and neutering when we have openings. To get on our waitlist please give us a call at (509) 422-9960 and we will get your animal fixed as soon as we possibly can. Thank you to all of our volunteers and community members who have donated time and resources to make these clinics possible.

A kind-hearted neighbor in Omak contacted ORH about a large, stray tomcat who had been visiting her porch every evening for a meal. This gentle giant, named Buddy, desperately needed medical attention for a cut behind his ear, a possible abscess, and a severe mite infestation.

Buddy stayed with us at ORH while waiting for his emergency appointment at Okanogan Valley Vet. There, he received the care he needed and was also neutered. After a short recovery at ORH, Buddy will transition to Animal Foster Care, where he’ll finally have the chance to find a loving forever home.

Buddy’s story is one of hope and new beginnings. After more than two years on the streets, he’s now enjoying safety, comfort, and love. Your support through Give NCW ensures our Emergency Veterinary Care program can continue saving animals like Buddy.

Today is the last Funday Monday to enter your name for a chance to win $1,000 to use on Give NCW any way you choose! If you haven’t supported your favorite nonprofit yet, a donation of just $10 or more enters your name in the drawing -> http://givencw.org/

We are beyond grateful for all the support we’ve received and to be one of the organizations that will receive funds from Give to All!
