🎆 Fireworks Are Coming—Is Your Furry Friend Ready? 🎆
As the 4th of July draws near, it’s essential to acknowledge that while many of us revel in the festivities, our pets may find the experience harrowing and anxiety-inducing. If your pet struggles with firework anxiety, act promptly—request medication refills at least 24 hours in advance to safeguard your pet’s well-being.
📆 Holiday Hours Reminder:
Our clinic will be closed Friday, July 4th, Saturday, July 5th and Sunday, July 6th.
We will reopen Monday, July 7th with normal business hours.
🐶 Tips to Help Ease Firework Anxiety for your pets🐱:
🔹 Create a quiet, cozy space indoors
🔹 Play calming music or white noise
🔹 Use anxiety wraps or calming pheromone diffusers
🔹 Keep windows and curtains closed
🔹 Make sure your pet’s ID tags and microchip info are up-to-date
💊 If your pet requires anxiety medication, please contact the clinic as soon as possible, so we can prepare it in a timely manner.💊
💥 For a more enjoyable holiday with your pet, take into account these additional safety precautions as well💥:
🔹Avoid giving people food to your pet - Food and drink served to guests may be poisonous to pets. Instruct your guests not to share their food with your furry friend.
🔹Be cautious of the heat - Make sure pets have a cool place to beat the heat. Don't forget plenty of fresh, clean water to drink.
🔹Pets are curious - Keep sparklers, firecrackers, beads and glow sticks far away from your pet. Intestinal blockage and gastrointestinal distress can occur if your pet ingests these objects.
Stay safe, and give your pets a little extra love this holiday. ❤️🐾
