Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country with courage, sacrifice, and dedication.

To all the veterans in our community and across the nation—thank you for your service. Your commitment protects the freedoms we enjoy every day.

❄️🐾 Cold Weather Alert! 🐾❄️

Temperatures are dropping tonight, and that means it’s time to take a few extra steps to keep our furry friends safe and warm! ❤️

🐶🐱 Bring pets inside — If it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them! Pets can freeze quickly in cold weather.

🔥 If you’re using heat lamps, make sure animals can move away if they get too hot — overheating can be deadly, especially for young puppies and kittens that can’t move on their own.
⚠️ Never use straws or flammable materials under heat lamps — they can easily catch fire.

💧 Check outdoor water bowls in the morning and break any ice so your pets (and outdoor critters) can still drink.

🚗 Before starting your car, tap the hood or honk the horn — cats sometimes crawl up into warm engines overnight for heat.

A little extra care goes a long way to keep all our animal friends safe during these cold snaps. Stay warm, everyone! ❤️🐾

🌟🐾 Happy Practice Manager Appreciation Week! 🐾🌟

Behind every smooth-running clinic, there’s a superhuman juggling schedules, solving problems, and keeping the rest of us from completely losing our minds. At Irwin Animal Clinic, that hero is Janice Tucker — our fearless, funny, and fabulously organized Practice Manager!

💼 Janice can balance a budget, a phone call, and a box of kittens all at once — usually before her first cup of coffee. ☕🐱
💬 She’s the calm voice when things get wild, the glue that holds us together, and the brain that remembers everything we forgot.
❤️ Most of all, she keeps our clinic running with heart, humor, and a whole lot of patience for all of us (and the occasional grumpy cat).

Join us in giving Janice a HUGE thank you for all she does every single day — we couldn’t do it without her! 💐👏

Reminder: We’re Closed Tomorrow for Veterans Day
In honor of those who served, Irwin Animal Clinic will be closed Monday, November 11.
We'll be back to normal hours Tuesday, November 12.

EDIT……
We have had several messages and calls from clients thinking that Dr Hill may not come back to the clinic. This is NOT the case. Dr Hill isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! She is just out of the office for a few days. We apologize to everyone for the miscommunication. Please bare with us while she is out. Thank you all so much for your concern and for your understanding.

We would like to take a moment to apologize to all of clients that Dr Hill has been called away from the clinic so much lately. Unfortunately, it’s not something that she has control over or can change/reschedule. We hope that she will be back in the office on Monday but at this time that is still an uncertainty. The rest of the staff is in office and will do our best to help our clients in any way we can. We will update you all when we know more. If you have an emergency we do recommend Valdosta Veterinary Services. Again we do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Thank you all for your continued support for Irwin Animal Clinic.
