And my dogs are not Only willing to get in their crates but they are happy to.
Because, through consistency, they have learned that the crate means it is time to “switch off” & relax
However, that also means when that crate door opens it is time to “switch in” and do what ever they want do
The reward is built in and self reinforcing

Because every bit of movement, interaction & exploration was rehearsed the way I want things to be. Because I Only showed what I like vs what not to do
Because I slowly introduced more & more freedom every time I got more and more awareness
Now I can trust blanco & blanco can trust me. We both know how each other work & we can trust that
Now he can be a free range Dog
Too often, new Dog owners give too much, too quickly, without establishing a baseline of behavior with their Dog & then wonder why their Dog is ignoring them or getting into trouble
Start with a little. Do a little-a lot (consistently)
Then, incrementally, give more ( be consistent)
Eventually, give a lot

Having a pack you can trust to push a little & give a little can be magical

Real world, un-staged training that capitalizes on the moments I get home in the morning with my dogs.
Less than 1 minute to practice with all three of my dogs.
Reward? Running around at their own leisure/being released to hang out with their pals
Threshold? The entry/exit
Access to barrier? Waiting to be released individually “by name”
Correction? Spatial pressure & verbalizing “No”
In this way I get to work against heightened arousal, competing motivations & certain dogs getting it “wrong” or needing “correction”
Remember, the correction helps the Dog to learn what you want, so don’t get frustrated if you need to do this several times 🐾

When a regular behavior turns into hyper fixation that is our sign to pay attention and interject before the Dog getting “appeased” becomes annoyed & decides to create a boundary
