At Pearson Equine one of the most rewarding parts of what we do is that we occasionally get to follow the journey of the horses out of our program. Today we got an update that Olivia and Apollo attended their first show together and it went great. They showed up and were a force to be reckoned with their first time out. Way to go Olivia and Apollo we look forward to following more of your successes!

Today we are adding elevation of the shoulders to our three year old mare Bailey. When adding buttons to your horse be sure that you don’t become irritating to your horse as this will not only create resistance but could potentially create behavioral issues as well. When adding buttons on our horse we want to be sure we are upping the pressure every two seconds to maintain focus on the lessons hand and removing it as quickly as possible if the horse makes the smallest effort to comply. As our horse progresses we want to obtain the movement and reduce the amount of pressure we are using to a minimum.
