Let’s be honest- every dog owner should be aware of the potential that their dog might bite. Bites happen when dogs are feeling scared, injured, defensive, or protective— not just because they are “aggressive.”

If a pet is already familiar with a muzzle, it’s one less scary thing to introduce at the vet. Did you know that you can train your dog to wear a muzzle? We recommend practicing at home! Ugene’s owner has invested a lot of time and energy in this big breed dog to help keep him safe, and they agreed to show off this great skill for us!
Keeping Ugene honest with a basket muzzle allows us to perform a more thorough exam even when he is sick or injured, and he is still able to pant, drool, and take treats.

Muzzled dogs are not bad dogs, they are safe dogs! 🦺🐾 Great job, Ugene and Logan!
