It’s exciting to prepare for a puppy—the shopping, the pictures, imagining life together. Then your puppy comes home, and suddenly everything you read and thought you remembered seems to go right out the window. 💙
Puppies are wonderful, but they can also be hard. Having questions or feeling overwhelmed doesn’t mean you weren’t prepared.
Your breeder should be one of your first points of contact. They’ve watched your puppy grow and can offer helpful insight as you get to know each other.
As you prepare, ask what support is available after go-home day and how to reach out when you need it. Knowing you have someone to talk things through with can make those early weeks feel a little less overwhelming.
You don’t have to remember everything. You just need to know you have support. 🐾
