While Memorial Day has become the unofficial kick off of summer, the true meaning runs much deeper than that. It is not a celebration but a tribute to the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
It is a time to remember the service members who left home but never returned. This goes for men, women, and animals alike. Please share any service members photo that are no longer with us, tag their families, or just leave a special note in the comments.
We'll go first. In our photo is a precious family that we have gotten to know over 18 years ago. They shared David's story with us the very first time we met them. Every wild adventure, every detail of him that we think we know him personally, and how they keep his spirit alive every year with the "Sgt David J Coullard Memorial Fund" and "Golf Tournament". We think of Mrs. Anita often, but today, the whole Inlet Point family sends love and prayers your way.
Sgt David J Coullard died while conducting combat operations outside Haditha, Iraq. He may be gone from her reach, but he will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙
