🧙 Jedi would like to speak to the Wizard about a courage refill… but belly rubs will do.

A couple of weeks ago, this boy wasn’t so sure about the world. Now? He’s discovering that hoomans have hands specifically for ear scratches, and lying belly-up is a very effective way to get attention. 😂

Jedi has come LEAPS and bounds, and we’re so proud of him! Like the Cowardly Lion 🦁, he’s finding out he’s had a little bravery in him all along 💪. Having doggo friends cheering him on certainly helps. 🐶

🐾 Approx. 1–2-year-old shepherd mix

He’s still building his confidence, but his sweet, silly personality is coming out beautifully.

🐾 KRAKEN WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO YOUR DOG BEFORE AGREEING TO SPEAK TO YOU.

Our sweet boy trusts people about as far as he can throw them… and he doesn’t even have hands. 😂

This almost 1-year-old Catahoula has a whole lot of love underneath his suspicious little security system. But earning that love takes time, patience, and absolutely zero “WHY WON’T YOU JUST LET ME LOVE YOU?!” energy.

His future home MUST have:

🐕 Another confident dog to show him the ropes and help him feel safe. Your dog is basically his emotional support coworker.
🏡 A secure fenced-in yard. This boy is a serious flight risk. If frightened, he can go from “unsure” to “bat out of hell” real damn quick.
❤️ A very patient person who will let him approach, settle in, and build trust at his own pace. No rushing affection or forcing introductions.

The flight risk is serious, even if we’re making you laugh. Kraken needs someone committed to keeping him safe while his confidence catches up.

Once he realizes you’re his safe place? He’ll love you unconditionally. But that relationship has to be earned, one small victory at a time. 🥹

💔 WE REFUSE TO LET A SHELTER FLOOR BE ALL BIG MAC HAS LEFT.

At 8 years old, Big Mac should have a soft bed, a person who loves him, and somewhere to rest his tired body.

Instead, he’s on a hard kennel floor. His back legs are struggling. His mobility is declining. And he has been scheduled for euthanasia.

We couldn’t keep watching him decline without stepping in. Empowering Pawz is working to get Big Mac early next week—but we desperately need a foster home waiting for him.

We don’t yet know what’s causing his hind-end lameness. He needs a proper evaluation and someone willing to love him while we find answers.

We can’t promise what the road ahead looks like. But this sweet boy deserves the chance to feel safe, comfortable, and wanted. He deserves for someone to look at him and see a life still worth loving. 😭❤️

💕 “Do you have any small dogs?” We hear this often… and we’d love for you to meet Piper.

Just under 20 lbs, this sweet girl is learning more every day about being loved. She’s starting to enjoy cuddles and extra affection, and watching her let her guard down has been so special. 🥹

Piper needs someone who will give her time to feel safe. Someone who will celebrate the little moments—because earning the trust of a shy dog makes those moments feel pretty big. ❤️

🐾 ZERO aka “Z-Z” UPDATE: ONE WEEK. SO MUCH HOPE. 🤍

WOW… what a difference just one week can make! 🥹

Her little bones aren’t showing quite as much, she has more energy, and she has even picked out a FAVORITE TOY. Watching her feel well enough to enjoy being a dog is everything. ❤️

And our biggest reason to celebrate? Officially 6️⃣ DAYS SEIZURE FREE! 🎉🙌

Our sweet miracle doggo is absolutely amazing—and can we talk about how GORGEOUS she is?! 😍 She still has healing ahead, but every little step forward makes this rescue momma’s heart so full.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, prayed, checked in, and loved our girl right alongside us. You’ve helped give Z-Z the care she needs and surrounded her with so much love. 🐾🫶🏼

💔🐾 ERIC WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT THE ACTUAL FLUFF IS GOING ON?! 😂

Seriously, y’all. This boy has been putting himself out there, flashing those GORGEOUS eyes, showing off his good manners, making friends everywhere he goes… and STILL NO FOREVER FAMILY?!

Eric is starting to take this personally. 🥹

His sister got adopted. His doggy friends keep finding homes. Meanwhile, Eric is over here like, “Am I supposed to grow a second tail? Learn to cook? WHAT MORE DO YOU PEOPLE WANT?!” 🤦‍♀️😂

And here’s the heartbreaking part… Eric is genuinely one of the SWEETEST dogs you’ll ever meet. He’s goofy, affectionate, submissive with other dogs and absolutely LOVES having fur friends to play with.
