Well Poppins Pack, it was a lonnnng night at Animal Emergency Hospital of The Strand with my own baby, Koda.
I'd like to take the time to thank the staff at the animal hospital, especially Heather and Dr. Goodman, for treating myself and my boy with care and compassion. They evaluated his symptoms and presented my options with professionalism and experiential insight, zero pressure.
The work they do is not easy; situations are urgent, emotions are high and the staff carries the weight of your world on their shoulders in those moments. If you ever find yourself in this position, please do your best to express your gratitude for the challenging work that they do every single time they clock in. A simple "I appreciate you" goes a long way.
After 6 hours and a diagnosis of pancreatitis and a hind leg injury (the perfect storm to incite panic in this mama!) we made it home around 5:30am. We have medications and a solid care plan in place, including lots and lots of rest. In those moments, I feared the worst and I am SO grateful to have him home. I know others in the office last night were not as lucky and my heart is with them.
If you ever need emergency veterinary care, I would not hesitate to trust the Animal Emergency Hospital of The Strand to do their absolute best for you and your beloved pet.
Thank you to my dear friends and family who continue to check in with love, prayers and support. We are lucky to be loved by you!
XO 💙🧡💛 - Madison & Koda
