Three vet appointments this month for RHVD2 vaccines and check up for the new bunny that I’m calling “Bruiser” right now 😂. Best I can do on the spur of the moment!

Hay! I made a post about hay and I seemed to have lost it… hmmm. Anywho, someone got us hay from our Chewy wishlist! A multitude of different hays! We always mix our hay, helpful for picky eaters and for buns who get bored with the same old forage! Thank you so much! ♥️

Right now is unbelievable. The amount of buns we are getting calls on as strays, dumped, abandoned, and the usual “we don’t have time for our bun(s). We have taken in police seizures and injured bunnies this month and EVERY SINGLE DAY we are getting multiple emails, calls, messages. We are not taking in any owner surrenders for the rest of the year. We have several thousands of dollars in vet care needed for spays/neuters & vaccinations. Stray bun from Friday needs his eye checked this week. Will it ever end? And as far as an owner having no time for one bun? Why in the world do you think I have time to take care of all the bunnies no one WANTS to take the time to take care? Buy toys and pay attention to them instead of the TV.

Because someone cared and had more compassion than the owner, this bunny was saved after being seen outside for nearly a month. The Good Samaritan caught the bun, took bun to see if microchipped and then called us. Bun does have a slight eye injury which we will be taking bun to the vet to have looked at, and bun will get the vaccine. Thank you to the people who cared enough to save and bring bun to us!

Please welcome Felix to training to be an F5RS Bunnies in Baskets - Therapy Bunnies visiting bunny! Felix is definitely a dumped bunny from this Easter season. He is young and sweet and only 3.7 pounds. I always tell people I wait to name a bunny because some of them know their names. Felix told me right away what his name was. Now to be totally transparent I don’t really like to give buns people names and I don’t really like the name. Thinking I could come up with something different, like a cool Celtic, Roman or Greek name, I googled “boy names that mean happy” imagine my surprise 😳🙄. So Felix it is!
