Meet CJ – This sweet senior cat was living a happy, comfortable life when the unthinkable happened—his beloved owner suddenly passed away. Sadly, CJ was alone in the house for over a week before help arrived. Understandably, he came to ARC frightened and withdrawn.

With time, patience, and gentle care, CJ has returned to his old self—a loving companion who’s ready to be part of a family again. He deserves to spend his golden years surrounded by love.

CJ is a special needs kitty who will require daily thyroid and eye medication for the rest of his life—but he takes them well and will repay you with endless affection.

Adoptions for 8/9
Seeker has been waiting a long time for his special day — and it’s finally here! After patiently holding out for the right match, he’s heading home. Destiny and Twilight may be just babies, but they’ve already found wonderful families to love them. Congratulations to all our adopters and their new furry family members!

Black dogs are often overlooked in shelters and can be the hardest to place, but not this time. Novak and Bandit both went home, and we couldn’t be happier for them and their new families.

Come meet this sweet boy! You wont be sorry!!❤️🐾 Captain came to ARC from a shelter that was out of space. He is an easy-going, gentle kitty that has adjusted nicely to being at ARC and loves exploring his new surroundings. He, for sure, does not let life on three legs slow him down in the slightest!

His sweet and resilient spirit has endeared him to staff and volunteers, who are continually inspired by his cheerful attitude. Captain would thrive in a loving home where he can enjoy warmth, affection—proving every day that love makes every journey easier, no matter the obstacles.

Although Captain gets along nicely in a house with other cats, he would much prefer to be the only kitty in his forever home.

Austria and 5 other young kittens were rescued off Hwy 80 by a kind woman. Unable to care for them herself, the woman who found them reached out to ARC.

The six kittens were immediately placed in an ARC foster home where gentle hands and warm hearts cared for and deeply loved them for the next three months. During this time, the kittens received attentive care and lots of loving socialization. By the end of their foster stay, each kitten had blossomed into a healthy, loving, and very affectionate kitten.

Now, Austria and the rest of the "Highway Six" find themselves at ARC, standing on the threshold of a new chapter. Their hearts are full, their spirits bright, and they are ready—ready for the loving forever homes where they can share a lifetime’s worth of purrs, play, and the boundless affection that only a rescued kitten can give.
