Hope for Hooves Rescue - Unbridled Freedom

Hope for Hooves Rescue is a South Carolina nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating equines so they can, in turn, help restore faith and rebuild trust in those who need it most. Many of our farm animals are rescued from situations of neglect and abuse, and given a second chance to live out the rest of their lives helping humans who need to experience the equivalent amount of love and healing. Through our various programs and the grounding process of every day farm life, we strive to introduce others to the therapeutic nature of connecting to the earth, animals, and hopefully in the process- oneself. Anyone is welcome to experience the healing nature of our farm- foster children, cancer patients, single parents, domestic violence survivors, human trafficking survivors, veterans, those with special needs and anyone who may be battling inner turmoil.

This one broke my heart. 💔

Last week in our Healing With Horses program, our lesson was called “I Know What's True.”

We gave each child a wooden tag and asked them to write two things. On one side, what the world says about them. On the other, what God says about them.

This tag belongs to a 9 year old child. And on one side, she wrote, “Lots of people hate you.”

Just sit with that for a minute.

Nine years old. Carrying those words around in their heart.

But then they turned their tag over.

“You are important.”

“You are loved unconditionally.”

“You have the kindest heart.”

I can't tell you how much this touched me.

We don't always know what children are carrying. We don't know what they've been told, what they've overheard, or what they've started believing about themselves.

Sometimes they're smiling, laughing, playing with the horses, and having the best time. And we have no idea what's going on inside their little hearts.

This is why we do what we do at Hope for Hooves.

Yes, we spend time with horses. We groom them, learn about them, and have fun together. But there's so much more happening here.

We're reminding children that they are loved. That they matter. That their lives have purpose. And that the hurtful things people say about them do not determine who they are.

My prayer is that this child remembers what's written on the other side of her tag long after our nine weeks together are over.

And I pray that every child who comes through our gates leaves knowing they're worth so much more than the words that have hurt them.

And to every single person who supports us, whether you give financially, lift us up in prayer, donate your in-kind gifts or generously give your time, thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

I wish you could see firsthand the difference you're making in the lives of these children.

Your kindness and generosity allow us to keep showing up, week after week, reminding these precious kids that they are loved, valued, and never alone.

You may never know just how much your support means to a child who desperately needs someone to believe in them.

But I promise you, what you're doing matters.

And we are so incredibly grateful. ❤️🐴

I can't believe we just completed week 6!! Time flies when you're focus is on making a difference in the lives of others.

The children received a HUGE blessing tonight!! Grace DePompo purchased all 6 horses brand new grooming boxes filled with brand new grooming tools!!! IYKYK

Tonight we talked about 'There is MORE!' There's always more of God...more love, more mercy, more grace, more miracles, more blessings, etc. They got to experience first hand more of his blessings!! ✝️ They were so happy!
