Hope for Hooves Rescue - Unbridled Freedom

Hope for Hooves Rescue is a South Carolina nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating equines so they can, in turn, help restore faith and rebuild trust in those who need it most. Many of our farm animals are rescued from situations of neglect and abuse, and given a second chance to live out the rest of their lives helping

humans who need to experience the equivalent amount of love and healing. Through our various programs and the grounding process of every day farm life, we strive to introduce others to the therapeutic nature of connecting to the earth, animals, and hopefully in the process- oneself. Anyone is welcome to experience the healing nature of our farm- foster children, cancer patients, single parents, domestic violence survivors, human trafficking survivors, veterans, those with special needs and anyone who may be battling inner turmoil.

Well, we don't see this happen very often. Ginger is our 23 year old 'chesnut mare'. I don't call her that because of her color and gender. I call her that because she's extremely moody and doesn't like to be messed with. All horse people will completely understand!! Despite that, I love her dearly! ❤️

But here's the thing, she can be grouchy the entire week, but as soon as Thursday rolls around and she sees the children, she becomes a completely different horse. Well, I guess her true personality comes out. She absolutely loves these kids! It's quite remarkable to witness the change in her demeanor.

Isn't that the way we should be when we've spent time with Jesus? People should see the child that God created us to be. They should see Jesus in us.

Sometimes I miss the mark. Just this week I allowed a complete stranger to 'rattle my cage' and I said some things I shouldn't have said. But guess what, Jesus still loves me. ❤️

The more time we spend in His presence, the more delightful we become.

Selah.

🇺🇸❤️
Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or a backyard barbecue. It is a sacred reminder that freedom was purchased with courage, sacrifice, and love for country.

As flags wave like whispered prayers across the nation, we honor the heroes who never made it home. Their legacy lives on in every family gathering, every child’s laughter, and every sunrise over this beautiful land.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13

Today we remember. Today we honor. Today we are grateful. ❤️🤍💙

✨ Healing with Horses – Week 4 Update ✨

Week 4 of our Healing with Horses program has been so incredible to watch 💛

One of the most beautiful parts of this journey has been seeing the transformation in our participants. Some came in feeling nervous, unsure, or even a little scared around the horses, but week by week, we’ve watched confidence begin to grow.

Now we’re seeing smiles, excitement, laughter, and participants proudly leading the horses on their own. The trust and connection forming between the children and our horses is truly something special.

These moments remind us why this program matters so much. Healing doesn’t always happen with words, sometimes it happens through a gentle horse, a little courage, and people who believe in you.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this program and help make these life, changing moments possible 🤍
