Wh***ey Is Still Waiting for His Perfect Match
Wh***ey is a wonderful boy looking for the right person to give him the life he deserves. He has so much love to give, and with the right home, continued guidance, and consistency, we know he is going to make someone an incredible companion.
Here are a few things to know about Wh***ey:
He’s still in his teenage stage. Wh***ey is a bigger boy who doesn’t always realize his own size, so a home with toddlers may not be the best fit for him right now. He does great with our 6-year-old and loves following him around, but his size and youthful enthusiasm are important to consider.
He’s a quick learner! We’ve been working on his habit of jumping up for kisses, and he’s about 90% there. He knows “sit” like a pro and is quick to sit when he wants affection or a treat. He’s eager to please and responds well to guidance.
He’s great on a leash and in his crate. Walks are enjoyable with Wh***ey, and when bedtime comes, he settles beautifully into his crate.
He’s a serious chewer. Bully sticks and durable chew toys are a must for this boy! He also loves playing fetch and would enjoy having someone who can keep him physically and mentally engaged.
He’s still learning his doggie manners. Wh***ey can play a little rough with other dogs, so a confident, well-socialized dog who can help guide him may be a good match. Our dogs have done a wonderful job helping him learn appropriate play and boundaries. We believe spending so much of his puppyhood in a shelter may have limited some of the early socialization experiences that are so important for young dogs.
Most of all, Wh***ey is a lover. He absolutely adores cuddles and would do just about anything for affection. He wants to be close to his people and be part of their everyday adventures.
We picture Wh***ey thriving with an active, committed adopter who enjoys getting outside, going on hikes, and including their dog in daily life. We believe he could be especially well-suited to a male adopter who wants a loyal adventure buddy and is willing to continue working with him through his teenage years.
Wh***ey doesn’t need to be perfect. He needs someone willing to see his potential, provide structure, keep teaching him, and give him the time and love to grow into the amazing dog we know he can be.
He has so much to offer. He’s just waiting for someone to see it.
