I know some of you have been praying for my family so I thought I should just make a post. My grandma passed away last night peacefully in her sleep. My family is in Illinois and being here has been very difficult during this time. Please keep my family surrounded in prayer, if you are a prayer person. Her 100th birthday was only a month away, but she is no longer suffering and at peace. With that being said... please understand that I may not be answering my phone today. If you need an appointment, please text or leave a voicemail and I will get back with you all on Monday. I just need a couple days... thank you for understanding.

For those of you having issues getting through to us on the phone, I have figured out how to get rid of the call screening that came with the last iPhone update. It was really messing things up for numbers not saved in my phone, which has been a lot. If you have been trying to call and kept getting strange message and/or got hung up on or couldn't get through I apologize and the problem has been fixed. If you are able to text, please do because texting is easiest for me when I am super busy at the shop. Thanks!!

This year as things have increased in price all over the place… including our utilities, supplies, equipment, etc. I am here to announce that I have been contemplating for a couple weeks but have reached a decision, even though a difficult one… to NOT raise our prices again. I have never been a person who follows the crowd… so to say that we have to raise prices because everyone else is would make me a hypocrite. I do what I do because I love what I do. I feel that grooming should be affordable for everyone and to raise prices while the price of everything else continues going up, would just makes it harder for people to make ends meet. It may cut into the profits a little, but it would hurt my heart more to watch an animal suffer because people just couldn’t afford to get them groomed. And please don’t say that people that can’t afford it shouldn’t have an animal, because we all know that financially things have changed over the last few years. So my final answer is: we are not raising our prices. Have an amazing evening!! Warmer weather is around the corner (at least for a little while)!!

How are you prepared for the extreme cold and possible snow? Let’s see those photos of your pets staying warm! My chickens are camping inside for a while!! Anyone else do anything unusual? If I could bring my horse inside I would in a heartbeat!

Gentle Hands Pet Spa will not be opening today. I was just up there about an hour ago and the furnace is set at 70 and it is staying around 63 degrees inside. It's not even at the coldest part of this system coming through. I have reached out to all of our appointments via text message.

This is a good time for me to catch up on voicemails and messages that I have fallen behind on due to being so busy. If you left a message recently and haven't heard from me... you will this afternoon! Please remember that texting is the easiest way to get a quick response from me. I don't always have time to sit down and go through 20 voicemails every day and if I answered every call that came in throughout the day, I wouldn't get a single dog finished.

Please be safe this weekend and stay home if you can!

The extreme cold (-20 windchill) is supposed to start in the early am on Friday and continue through midday Monday. If this holds true Gentle Hands Pet Spa will be closed this weekend. If you have an appointment during this time I will reach out to you sometime tomorrow to discuss options on whether we go ahead and reschedule or we can be on standby and decide Friday morning (small chance the forecast may be wrong or change by then). The cold temps are more of a concern for me than the snow itself. The snow is supposed to start midday Friday and the last thing we need is people trying to rush to pick up their dogs during the heavy snow and get stranded in sub-zero temps. As important as having your fur babies groomed is, it's not worth risking everything. It can wait a few days if it needs to. Like I said... if you have an appointment during this time I will reach out to you individually and get things taken care of at some point tomorrow if you have an appointment Friday or Saturday, possibly Monday. Aside from appointments, we won't be open so there will be no walk in services available either. Thank you for your understanding and please please please be safe and stay warm this weekend.

HERE WE GO! A Full Blown Winter Storm Will Impact Most of the State! A Shift North has brought the higher totals even further North than expected! Some locations could see more than a foot of snow! We'll share some of our own predictions later this Evening.

It's that time of year again!

We are now taking appointments for Mondays starting December 8th until Christmas!!

During busy times it is very difficult to stop what we are doing to answer the phone so texting is the easiest way for us, or you can message us right here on Facebook messenger. Please don't wait until the last minute to book your appointments before the holidays because we will and are filling up quickly!

Also no call no shows or cancelling last second during the holidays, or any time for that matter, is very hurtful to not only the business and our employees, but to those who wanted in and couldn't get an appointment because we were filled up. If you let us know ahead of time, we can easily fill the spot with someone else. We understand that sometimes last-minute things happen but it has been happening a lot lately.
