Wagging Tails’ Friday Night “Flying Fur” Dock Diving League Night is now open for membership! Come join a group of friendly, supportive, dog loving, dock diving enthusiasts for our League Nights! Held at Wagging Tails Pet Resort & Spaw 802 Bound Line Rd Wolcott CT’s 40’ dock and 45’ pool. All breeds, all sizes, jumping off the dock at any level, from any dock diving organization, are invited to join. From newbies to experienced jumpers….all are welcome.
We’ll meet for 2 hours (or more), on scheduled Friday nights each month May thru Sept. League nights are for FUN! We’ll practice with open dock time, and then we’ll have friendly competitions. We have Eclipse, Fetch It, Air Retrieve (whatever your organization calls it) equipment, and will practice/learn other dock diving games besides just jumps.
At the end of the season, awards will go to most improved, best throw, best catch, and some other fun categories. AND as an IDS International Dog Sports facility, your dog (with an IDS reg number) can earn titles in the league! Visit www.internationaldogsports.com for a registration number.
League dates are Friday May 22, June 5, July 17, Aug 21 and Sept 11. Limited space available so that all have plenty of dock time. Dates are subject to change due to inclement weather, holidays, illness. And if we fill these dates or have additional interest, we will add more days. The fee for 2026 League Night for the nights posted here is $200. Payment is required upon signing up to hold your dog’s spot. Fees are non refundable and non transferable.
This is a great way to practice and keep your dog in shape. Plus, it’s fun with friends and flying fur! Up to date rabies vaccine, or veterinarian waiver, are required for all dogs by State Law.
Children over the age of 5 are welcome to come as Junior Handlers! We wholeheartedly welcome kids to learn more about this sport and to grow their bond and relationship with their dog! 4H clubs welcome too.
*Important info* If your dog is not yet jumping off the dock, then first schedule a Try It Session and Coaching Session. Dogs that are part of the league must be jumping off the dock. It doesn’t matter if they jump 1’ or 31’ - all length jumpers are welcome. But they do need to be jumping off the dock. Unfortunately we cannot take the time during the League time to conduct try it sessions. So we require you schedule those in advance. If your dog jumps and swims at a try it session we will definitely recommend joining the league! Please note- We offer coaching and training to achieve these results. We do not offer this training during League Nights. Please contact us to schedule a pool rental or coaching/training session.
This dock and pool are part of a pet resort - so we have outdoor kennel runs and space to comfortably confine your dog in between dock time. Just ask! We have hoses, dog bowls and towels, misting fans, sprinklers, and some tents and chairs available to setup under first, come first serve.
We are a family Friendly, welcoming environment. If you prefer to work out of your car, you can. Also-adjacent to the pool area is a fenced in, outdoor, turfed, play yard for your dog’s pleasure. For potty we provide a cleanup station with bags, towels, and sanitizing solution. For human bathrooms, we have portapotty on site. We also recommend that you do not feed your dog for 2 hours prior to using the pool. Please do not bring treats or give your dog treats, during League night or while using the pool. We provide towels, but we do recommend bringing a towel/robe for your dog to exit the facility in the cooler months. Your dog’s safety and happiness is of the utmost importance to us. All of the above information is provided so that you and your dog can have the best experience and enjoy your dock diving time.
To join, please visit our website www.waggingtails.com and register in the Wolcott location. This is important to note that if you are already registered in the Newington location, you will still need to register in the Wolcott location. Add “League Night Membership” to your account. We have found it is easiest to join/register using a computer and not on a phone. Some phones seem to kick people out of our online system. However it may work well for you. All major credit cards accepted. If any issues with registering online or by phone, please call us 860 621-7387 (pets) and we can assist you/register you over the phone. Fees are non refundable. Non transferable. If you have more than one dog that you would like to jump, you will need to register each dog individually and there is a discount for a second dog from the same owner.
Pool rentals, competitions, try it’s, swim lessons, coaching are all available at this pool. Pool is open 7 days, 7AM-7PM. League Nights will run approximately 6PM to 8PM. Arrive anytime! Please reach out with questions. www.waggingtails.com [email protected]
