Good luck to the 2 Shagya-Arabian bred horses and competing in the 50-mile ride at the Vermont 100 Mile Ride this weekend. Both horses are part-bred horses sired by the Shagya-Arabian Bayram (*Oman x *Biala). This is one of the few 100-Mile Rides where a 100-Mile Run coincides on the same trails and roads as the 100-Mile Ride, making for an interesting day.

Also, congrats to Rhett OKS and Theodore the Wonder Horse for their continued success, placing well once again in the AERC standings.

Holly Haddenham of The Backwoods Ranch Malo, WA, and Sebastian DeVivo, MI, of https://annorien.com/contact are hosting Shagya-Arabian Breeding Approval Inspections in 2026.

Arabians and Shagya-Arabians are eligible to be presented for breeding approval.

Partbred horses (horses with at least one Shagya-Arabian ancestor in 4th generation) and other horses may be eligible for an evaluation.

Hopefully someday the two ISG registries for North America will hold combined breed inspections.
