When first pulled from the slaughter cage, she was terrified, trying to hide in the corner. The poor little girl is so terrified of the leash, we can only imagine what horror she experienced before rescue. We’ve seen this with many dogs we’ve rescued. We take this part of rehabilitation very slow.

Montauk is a timid girl but ever so slowly, we are learning that she wants to trust. Treats make her happy and playful and she does like belly rubs. With time and patience, this precious girl will blossom.
