Meet Xiugo, Our Happy Patient of the Day! A 5-year-old Maltese, Xiugo, came in for her one-week recheck for acute back pain and is doing very well on a regimen of rest and meds. Xiugo is originally from Korea and is the sweetest little dog! Xiugo was born with patellar (knee cap) issues, so we are working with her mom on exercise plans to strengthen and prevent injury. 🐶❤🐾

It was an absolute joy for Dr. Williams and Araceli to meet Daisy last week for her first-ever veterinary visit! This 5-month-old Poodle is so sweet and beautiful, and she has her family head over heels in love. Daisy represents the next generation of Dr. Shorter's patients, and our entire team can't wait to watch her grow! ☀🐶❤

☀️ NYC is under a Heat Advisory for Today, May 19th! Here are Pet Safety Tips for Hot Weather Days:

+ Always carry fresh water with ice and a drinking vessel when outdoors.
+ Schedule short bathroom walks early in the morning and in the evening.
+ Prevent any overexertion and avoid or limit group activity.
+ Use shaded areas for short outdoor walks and rest
+ Stay close to home or any pet-friendly air-conditioned indoor space to get out of the heat.
+ Consider a cooling collar or vest, a portable fan, and a large, thin towel that's easy to wet and drape.
+ Use extra precaution with brachycephalic breeds and young and elderly pets.
+ Avoid walks on hot sand and asphalt — use padded cotton booties when necessary and remove when indoors.
+ If you have heat concerns in your home, provide multiple water bowls and fans, apply a cool, damp towel if needed, and call your veterinarian to find alternative safe spaces.

Our far-reaching KSV community came together at Park Avenue Day 2026!! We enjoyed visiting with many clients and their pets who came to say hello, festival attendees who came to meet us with their pets, and two very special guests!!! A big thank you goes out to Ronnie, our "Client of the Day", who came and stayed to help us serve the needs of a larger-than-usual crowd… and to the world-famous Naked Cowboy of NYC, who struck a pose or two at our tent with our team! It truly TAKES A VILLAGE to have the BEST DAY EVER! 🎸🐶☀🎪❤

Happy Monday, and many thanks to our Park Avenue Day 2026 KSV partners !!
