Question: Can I use my dog’s flea-control on my cat?
Answer: No. Some canine flea-control formulas can be lethal to cats. Felines are extremely sensitive to insecticides, and many cats die annually from the improper use of flea control products. Feline sensitivity to permethrin insecticides is one good example. Many products using this ingredient are labeled for dogs only, as even a few drops of concentrated permethrin could be lethal to a cat. Please read product labels carefully and consult your veterinarian before implementing any flea control program.

šŸ“… Today is World Veterinary Day, and this year’s theme says it all: ā€œAnimal health takes a team.ā€

Behind every healthy pet and every thriving animal population is a village of dedicated professionals—veterinarians, veterinary technicians, nurses, client care teams, practice managers, specialists, researchers, and more.

We’re proud to honor the people who make animal care possible—not just those holding the stethoscope, but the entire team working tirelessly behind the scenes and beside the patient.

šŸ’› Thank you for all you do—for animals, for their people, and for one another.

Compost improves soil quality and can be store-bought or homemade. Toxicity risks depend on the ingredients used. Commercial composts list common components like manure, peat, and leaf compost, while homemade versions often include food scraps, plant material, and paper products.
Toxic food items include grapes/raisins, garlic/onions, avocados (and pits), and coffee grounds. Harmful plants like Azaleas, Yews, Oleander, and Sago Palms also pose risks.
Important: Moldy compost may contain tremorgenic mycotoxins, which can cause tremors or seizures and require immediate veterinary care.
