KittyKind is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, all-volunteer cat rescue and adoption group located in New York City.

KittyKind is a no-kill cat rescue group that rescues, cares for, and finds loving homes for all ages and types of cats. We pride ourselves on our commitment to caring for and finding the best adoptive homes for those cats that are deemed "special needs," be it because of illness, injury, disability, or age. We take responsibility for each and every life we save and if a cat or kitten is not adopted, they have a home with us for life.

Allie was rescued from a bodega basement where she was living with her mother. As much as we all love bodega cats, there are many that we never see as they’re left in basement and storage areas to catch rodents. Allie’s humble beginnings didn’t dampen her bright spirit. She loves to be involved with everything. 5 month old Allie is very social and outgoing, barely takes any time to adjust. She’s very energetic, and should be adopted with another kitten or a young cat who can match her energy level.

Adorable Niko was rescued as a tiny tiny 4-week old baby with a very bad eye infection, which gives him his distinctive look. He’s a high-energy guy who is always on the go, and he’s social, affectionate, and curious. He’ll sit on your lap, sit by your side, and sleep in the bed if you let him. 6 month old Niko enjoys getting pets and attention and playing with other cats.

Niko is FIV and FeLV negative, neutered, and up to date on shots. Regarding his eye, he can see fine and there are no meds or surgery needed for his eye. All our kittens must be adopted with another kitten or to a home with a friendly active cat. Email [email protected] to apply!

Cove (black and white) and Reef (orange) are always getting into shenanigans! They will wrestle until they’re tired, and then nap like little angels. Cove is especially screamy at mealtimes, and he WILL eat everyone’s food, so plan to feed Cove and Reef in separate bowls. These two little imps get along with other cats, and dogs and kids! They are both male, FIV and FeLV negative, and up to date on shots. Come meet 19 week old Reef and Cove at our Adoption Center inside Petco Union Square!

Ben, aka Ben Affleck, was a friendly cat living in a managed colony in Queens. A rescuer recognized how friendly he was and got him all ready for adoption! 2 year old Ben can be a little shy, but once he’s comfortable he’ll ask for pets and follow you around! And he’s such a handsome guy, we know you won’t be able to resist him. Ben gets along with other cats, and he can also be a single guy. He’s FIV and FeLV negative, neutered, and up to date on shots. Lulu is beautiful and she knows it. Like many torties, she has a strong personality and is definitely a diva. But if you are one of the cat owners who loves that, Lulu is going to be the love of your life! She is very interested in people and wants to follow you from room to room and will come up often to be petted. She was not allowed in the bedroom but we suspect that she will want to sleep on the bed if allowed. She may be a bit younger than her three year old age estimate, but we are erring on the side of overstating than understating. Lulu likes to be the queen of her domain but she will love her humans. Benny is a 5 months old tabby male that was rescued from a hoarding situation in the Bronx. He’s a sweet and funny and active kitten who adores other cats. He would be a wonderful match with another young cat; he is so loving, fun and affectionate.

Benny must be adopted with another cat. Maybe consider one of the other cats he was rescued with, like Violet, Sammy, or Charlotte!

Lilly (tabby) and Orchid (black) are typical playful purring kittens. At 25 weeks old, these sisters are curious and fun loving. Lilly the tabby is a little more outgoing initially. Both enjoy chasing each other and playing with toys. Orchid loves those spiral wire toys while Lilly may favor a catnip plushie. They enjoy coming to cuddle with their people on the couch. Lilly might steal your lap while Orchid lays up against your side. They are a bonded pair and are looking for a new home together! The flower girls are FIV and FeLV negative, spayed, and up to date on shots. Ce meet them in our Adoption Center inside Petco Union Square!

Sammy, 10 months old seal point male was rescued from a hoarding situation in the Bronx. He’s a beautiful male mixed Siamese cat, who is super friendly, loves people, very affectionate and is just an absolute sweetheart— he loves other cats. Sammy is not vocal at all.

Sammy must be adopted with another cat. Maybe consider one of the other cats he was rescued with, like Violet, Charlotte, or Benny!

These kittens from Florida are ready for their NYC life! Riff is a typical orange boy who will greet you at the door. He’s bonded with Lyric (white and black), who is outgoing and gregarious. Tempo is a low-key creamsicle boy who is bonded with Harmony, his calico sister, who is gentle and chatty. All are FIV and FeLV negative and up to date on shots. Beautiful Pippa was adopted by a teenager whose family decided they didn’t want a cat! Now 1 year old Pippa is looking for a person who will cherish her and treat her like the queen she is. Pippa, like a lot of cats, is shy at first. She will likely hide and come out at night when everyone is asleep to explore. Once she’s comfortable, she’ll be affectionate and asking for gentle pets and chin scritches. Be patient with this tabby beauty and you’ll be rewarded with love. Pippa doesn’t like other cats and would be best as a single. She’s an active young lady, and loves to play with toy mice. Pippa is FIV and FeLV negative, spayed, and up to date on shots.
