Katie's Kitty is a family-run, boutique style cat sitting company in NYC. Katie’s Kitty is an exclusive boutique-style cat sitting company in New York City.

We service Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn along with parts of the Bronx, Jersey City and Hoboken! 😺 We offer pet sitting in your home and cat boarding in our host-family homes. We carefully pre-screen every pet sitter before they are invited to join our network of cat sitters and pet boarders. And all of our sitters and boarders are insured and bonded. The roster of persons who work for us is ecl

ectic and includes professionals who do it as much for the love of animals as for any other reason. Among the ranks of our dedicated staff are nurses, journalists, teachers, social workers, stay-at-home moms and dads, veterinary technicians, administrative assistants, and graduate students. At Katie’s Kitty, our caregiving goes well beyond just the physical needs of your pet. We believe that, as with humans, there is a mind-body connection in animals. As such, the emotional state of your pet is just as important as his or her physical well-being. To that end, we take great pains to reduce occurrences of stress, frustration, loneliness – and yes, even boredom – in the life of your loved one. We always take our cue from you. And so, if an exercise or play regimen is part of your daily routine, we will do our very best to recreate it. Through our keen awareness and attention to detail, the likelihood that your pet will feel safe and content in your absence is greatly enhanced.

Happy Friday! Today, meet our charge Gem!

Our sitter Dayna cares for this little guy, and because he is semi-feral, she makes sure he doesn’t escape. Visits begin with a very slowly opened door- Gem likes measuring his chances, and Dayna is there to catch him in the moment!

It’s Throwback Thursday! Today’s memory: Yashi and Hinata climbing on the counter… even though they weren’t supposed to! 😺

As catsitters, we love noticing when our charges realize Mom and Dad aren’t home- and pretending they aren’t breaking any rules! (If you scroll through, you’ll see Yashi and Hinata both have idea lightbulbs!) 💡

Anna has been a sitter with Katie's Kitty since the spring of 2021 and it's her favorite job she's ever had! When not with her kitty clients Anna is a performer both auditioning and working in theatre, film and television, as well as an aspiring content creator. She loves to share about her life in NYC exploring, consuming art and coffees! ☕️

Happy Caturday! Today, it’s a pleasure to introduce you to Niles! 💙

Though Niles comes across as a solemn fellow, our sitter Marissa describes him as a sweetheart and a discerning foodie (which we would expect with a name like Niles). His cut ear shows he was ear-tipped on the street, but this rescued guy is blooming in his Brooklyn surroundings- and we absolutely understand 💯

As proud New Yorkers, we are pumped the Knicks beat Boston to make it into the Eastern Conference Finals!

And while it’s too early to predict if the result against the Pacers will be the same as the Celtics… we are hoping that the collective combined ginger cat juju of Apollo, Ginger, Mr. Henry, and Charlie can summon points from the basketball gods!

Go Knicks! Our cats (and humans) are rooting for you!

A visit with Hank is, of course, gorgeous because he is a handsome fellow (and his mom has a beautiful space).

But, more importantly, it has plenty of lovey moments- which go a long way beyond Instagram-awesome snaps (and are proof of a cat’s comfort in our visits)!

Biscuits + cuddles > cutesiness (though cute makes us suckers during visits)!

Happy Friday! May the end of your week have the same aplomb as Murray’s chair pose!

As it is, we already love Murray; upon seeing his sprawled pose during our visit, his sitter Alexis and his mom fell into giggles. (We are so lucky to do what we do, for these moments of delight are priceless.)

Our Story

Katie’s Kitty provides pet sitting and boarding in these areas of New York City: • Manhattan • Brooklyn • The Bronx • Queens • Staten Island Before leaving your pet in our care, you will meet with your pet sitter to discuss your pet’s needs, such as food, medication, exercise, playtime, etc. • • • • • • • • • • • BOARDING IN OUR HOST HOMES (no cages, ever!) We have a network of private pet sitter homes throughout NYC and will match your pet with the perfect host home. Your pet will stay in our pet sitter’s home and receive care and affection while you’re away. Our private home pet sitting is available for cats and exotic animals. • We will feed your pet according to his or her schedule, with the food you normally feed. • We do not double up without the consent of the client, so unless you give us permission your pet will be the only guest in the home. • We never board a cat in a home with a cat, unless specifically requested. About our host family homes in NYC: • All of our sitter homes are pet safe, complete with screens on all windows. • • • • • • • • • • • PET SITTING IN YOUR HOME Our pet sitters will visit your home once or twice per day to provide care and comfort to your pet. • This includes a half hour of our sitter's undivided attention on your pet. • During each visit the litter box will be scooped, water bowls will be cleaned and refilled, and food dishes filled according to your instructions. • Your pet will receive plenty of love and affection. • Visits may include administering medication to your pets, turning lights off/on, etc. • • • • • • • • • • • PRICING Pricing is determined by your individual needs.
