You may remember seeing Phoenix the handsome Devon Rex who we posted last month! We are thrilled to say he’s made a full recovery with a kind foster after being found brutally attacked by a large dog 😿 He survived against all odds, had his follow up x-rays and is now ready to be adopted!! 🧡Phoenix was treated by who advised conservative approach (at least at first.) It worked and Phoenix recovered with strict cage rest! No surgeries!

Phoenix is a sweet gentle boy even after his near death experience. You can swipe to see his original photos from the vet, he has come such a long way! He is spunky, curious and ready to explore again now that he is out of crate rest! 💛 He is vocal and communicative and absolutely loves food. We are looking for an amazing home to give him the fresh start he desperately deserves with room for him to finally be able to run around!

Max was dumped on the streets of East New York & made his way to a neighborhood cat colony for help. Sadly, abandoned cats are commonplace there, so he was lucky the colony caretaker recognized that this gorgeous orange boy didn’t belong outside & brought him to safety.

At just 3 years old, Max is everything people love about cats. He’s affectionate, playful, super curious & he’s the type of sweetie who will follow you from room to room so he can be near you. If you stop petting him, he’ll politely remind you that you’re not alone & you’re not quite finished yet, either. 🐾❤️🐾

He loves head scratches, bird watching from the window, chatting back when you talk to him & snuggling up nearby to keep you company. His personality only gets sweeter the more you get to know him. 🐈

Max is healthy, vaccinated, neutered & he’s ready for a family of his own. 👯💞
He’d be perfectly happy as your one & only, or will need a slow introduction to other cats. He gets along well with his rescuer’s cats, but because he’s a big boy who likes to play rough with other male cats, a patient introduction is recommended.

After spending the last 9 months waiting, it’s time for this tall drink of water to leave rescue life behind & finally go home. Could that home be yours?

Everyone loves a Slinky!! Slinky is four months old, a dorky, playful little weirdo with lots of love to give. Her personality is quirky and adorable… she has a funny way of going about her business that never fails to make you smile. She’s particularly enthusiastic about canvas tote bags and cardboard boxes.

Slinky is a curious kitten, excited to see what this big world is all about. She wants to play, explore every corner of the space around her, and then collapse into a good nap once she’s worn herself out. She’s playful and young enough that she’d likely do quite well with kids.

Slinky isn’t just an entertainer— she is as loving and cuddly as she is fun to watch. She loves to pop up to your face for a little butterfly kiss to send her on her next adventure. She gets especially close at night, nuzzling right up to your face.

She’d be a great fit for a lively, loving home. Slinky is pictured here with her (equally loving but a little more elegant) sister Wanda, and they can be adopted together or individually into a home with another young cat playmate.

Looking to adopt a solo cat as a best friend? Theo is looking for the same thing!🤍

Theo is 4 years old & the kind of cat who loves being close to his people. He’s affectionate, handsome & happiest when he’s lounging beside you or soaking up attention. 😌

Sometimes adoptions just don’t go the way we hope. Despite all attempts, Theo has been unable to peacefully coexist with the other cat in his home despite months of veterinary guidance, behavior modification, medication, pheromones & several slow reintroductions. His veterinary team believes he’d be happiest as the only cat in the home. 👩🏻‍🎤

The good news? Theo continues to be a loving companion with people! His current family are keeping him safe & cared for until the right forever home comes along. 🐾

Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is recognize that a pet’s perfect home looks different than the one we imagined. For Theo, that means a quiet home where he can be the one & only feline.

Meet Susie 🤍🐾

Just a short time ago, Susie’s future was uncertain. One of our amazing supporters happened to witness someone trying to surrender her to ACC after saying she had to get rid of her no matter what. Our friend stepped in, brought Susie to safety, and gave her the second chance she deserves.

Susie is about 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated, tested, and microchipped, and now she’s looking for a foster or, even better, a forever home.

At first, Susie was understandably confused and nervous after everything she’d been through. Once she was spayed (she was in the late stages of pregnancy), she blossomed into the sweetest, quietest little girl.

Susie is a gentle soul who rarely makes a sound—though every now and then she’ll let out the cutest little squeak when she’s surprised. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once she trusts you, she’ll happily headbutt your hand for pets, rub against your legs, and keep you company while you go about your day. She’s curious, affectionate, and content just being near her favorite person.

Susie would do best as a solo cat, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves.
