This article is a poorly disguised commercial for quasi-feminist standing around maleness.

It doesn’t even try to pretend that it is journalism. There’s no balanced assessment. No historical context of the concept they’re “debunking.”

They simply quote two people, academics, who state opinions with completely inadequate support for their positions.

What they have done is reveal how quickly they are willing to give up journalistic integrity if they have an opportunity to take a swipe at the patriarchy.

Wait, maybe that doesn’t exist either.

I say all of this because this article isn’t about male wolves at all. It’s about an attitude toward maleness and power that is informed by a very specific, non-physical/non-animal narrative. Like a lot of work that supposedly informs us about animals, it doesn’t reference any direct experience with them at all.

Wow. Science has decided to join in on the Fake News trend.

This video just tried to quantify the feeling I have when I’m enjoying connection with a puppy.

Making things up and giving those things names does not exactly incline me to give this field credibility.
