Not only do we provide the only NO KILL facility in the Newburgh, New York area, but we are also the only source of Humane Law Enforcement in Orange County. Our dedicated staff and team of volunteers protect and defend animals and actively seek loving homes for each and every one of them – homes where they will be cared for and loved for the rest of their lives.

The Hudson Valley SPCA does NOT receive funds from federal, state or local municipalities. And we are NOT funded by the national organization, the ASPCA. Our work is funded solely by donations from our supporters. When you donate to the Hudson Valley SPCA, you can be sure that your contribution is used wisely. Over 75% of donations go directly to animal care with remaining funds going to support services. The Hudson Valley SPCA is a registered 501 (c) 3 so all of your donations are fully tax deductible. Big thank you to both of our hosts yesterday, Tractor Supply in New Windsor and Otterkill Animal Hospital! We also want to thank everyone who came to visit us and of course the volunteers who helped make it a great day. 🩷

The weather was up and down, but that didn't stop the support from shining through. ☀️

Benny went for a hike today with one of our regular volunteers! ☀️

Kellie said that he's great on leash and is a well-behaved, happy guy. She had a great time taking him out, so whoever adopts Benny will have a lot of fun going on adventures with him. Check the comments for the video of his little dip in the river. 📸

This sweet shepherd mix is about 1.5 years old and ready to be part of a family! He's great with kids and other dogs...All he needs is the forever home. Let's find it! 🩷

🚨⏰It's FRIDAY!!!.... You know what time it is!!!???? 📣📢It's $5 Friday and we ask everyone to donate $5 to the HUDSON VALLEY SPCA, and if you can't donate, please share this on your social media pages for us! That is a huge help too!

You may think $5 isn't that much, but it can take care of one animal for almost a week....so think about what 100 donations would do for the animals in our care! Let me remind everyone that we are NOT funded by any State, City or County for the work we do at the shelter. We also are not part of the ASPCA, like a lot of people believe. We are not affiliated or funded by them whatso ever. All of the funds needed to run the shelter come from donations, adoption fees, special events, and posts like this online. Without the public, we would not be able to keep doing the work we are doing for the animals.

Please meet "SNOOPY", "ZINNIA" and "BUBBA"....they are in New Windsor and looking for their forever homes!

Get ready for "An Evening with The Demystics!"...an interactive, entertaining, and enlightening experience with 4 psychic mediums who bring the afterlife down to earth! The Demystics are coming to Orange County for the first time to raise money for our shelter, so let's welcome them to Montgomery on Friday June 5. Doors open at 6:15pm for choice seating; show starts at 7:30pm. Your admission includes unlimited select drinks and snacks, and we will have other items for sale as well. This venue is strict about food and drink served, so NO OUTSIDE beverages or food will be allowed inside. Please support this fundraiser if you can make it, if you can't please share this on your social media for us. It is a VERY important fundraiser for the shelter, so please join us!

I am 12 years old, and love to loaf on the bed or couch with you.
I don't do the "snuggly or cuddly" stuff, but I will accompany you to the restroom, to make sure you are ok. I am not the needy type. Just feed me, pet me and love me. Oh, and I don't like other cats...just me & you please! A quieter, calm house with no little humans or other cats would be perfect!

I am currently in a foster home, but they are moving 7/28 and can't take me with them. I need a long-term foster, or a forever home to call my own.
