Our shelter is in need of mop head replacements. We are looking for the ones shown in the picture. If anyone could donate some we would really appreciate it. Please make sure they are no longer then 12 inches since the longer ones are harder to use and don't clean the floors as good. We did add them to our Amazon wish list most needed items.

⚠️ ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

For everyone who follows the lost dog pages, its hard not to notice but it’s time to open your eyes. We are facing an epidemic. There are more lost dogs than ever before, and it’s getting worse every single year. Just when I think it’s reached its peak, the tidal wave grows stronger.

And do you know what the common denominator is in 90% of these cases?
👉 Newly rescued.
👉 Newly adopted.
👉 Newly fostered dogs.

If you dig deeper, you’ll see the same rescues over and over and over again tied to these losses. The same rescues!!!!

Let’s call it what it is: retail rescue.
Dogs are being pulled from the south and puppy mills by the truckload…sight unseen…and shipped north like freight. They’re turned around, handed off to adopters or fosters, and slapped with an adoption fee. No evaluation. No understanding of their background or trauma. No flight-risk education. No proper equipment such as martingale collars.

Just hand them off, collect the adoption fee, and move on to the next.

Half of these rescues don’t even know what a martingale collar is, but they sure as hell know what a dollar is.

If they truly cared, they’d provide:
✔️ Flight risk education to their fosters and adopters.
✔️ Send every dog home with a properly fitting Martingale collar and secure harnesses and explaining the importance of these tools.
✔️ Have protocols in place for safety and post-adoption guidance.

But they don’t. And when their dogs go missing, they shrug their shoulders and say, “It’s the adopter’s fault,” or “Sorry, we can’t help, we have another adoption event.” Meanwhile, recovery teams and volunteers are left cleaning up their mess, spending countless hours, sleepless nights, and hundreds (often thousands) of dollars trying to save a dog that should have never been lost in the first place.

Then, when the dog is finally recovered, these same rescues re-adopt it out, pocket another fee, and can’t even be bothered to make a donation toward the recovery effort.

I’ve spent almost 20 years trapping and recovering dogs, and I have seen it all…the lies, the laziness, the negligence, the complacency, the profit- driven “rescue”. And I’m done being silent.

If you’re in rescue and you:
🚫 Don’t stand behind your dog after it leaves your hands…
🚫 Don’t provide flight-risk education…
🚫 Don’t ensure every dog leaves with a properly fitted Martingale collar..
🚫 Don’t have loss-prevention protocols in place…
🚫 Have never evaluated the dog your are adopting out…

Then get out of rescue.
Find a new hobby, stamp collecting, knitting, anything because you are not rescuing dogs; you are endangering them.

You are pulling them from one bad situation only to thrust them into another, all for the almighty dollar.

If this message stings, maybe it should. If it makes people uncomfortable, good. The truth should make people uncomfortable. Because what’s happening in “rescue” today isn’t rescue at all, it’s a business built on heartbreak, and I will not stay silent while more dogs pay the price.

Rescue needs reform. Accountability needs to start NOW.

💥 These dogs deserve better💥

Over 60% of raptors tested worldwide
show traces of rodent poison in their systems.
In one U.S. study, 100% of sampled red-tailed hawks
had been exposed to anticoagulant toxins.
(Elliott et al., 2024; Murray, Tufts University, 2020)

When an owl eats a poisoned mouse,
it doesn’t survive the meal.
This is called secondary poisoning.

Second-generation anticoagulants like brodifacoum
can remain deadly for weeks —
long after the rodent dies.

A shortcut in pest control
can collapse an entire food chain.
