Lately I’ve noticed a growing trend that needs to be addressed. When you walk into a small business — any small business — you’re not just paying for a service. You’re paying for years of experience, skill, training, and the care that goes into doing the job right.

It’s hurtful and disrespectful when people act like the work we do isn’t worth the price. No one would walk into your job and tell you you’re not worth your paycheck.

Please remember: small businesses survive on respect just as much as revenue. Kindness and appreciation go a long way.

📣 Important 🚨Our Cancellation Policy is as follows
We completely understand that life happens — kids get sick, cars break down, emergencies come up. We always try to be flexible and compassionate when real situations arise.
However, we’ve had a growing number of very last‑minute cancellations, including people canceling 30 minutes before their appointment or confirming and then not showing up. When this happens, our groomers are left with no income for that reserved spot ,we cannot fill that spot on such short notice.
Our groomers depend on each appointment for their paycheck, and repeated last‑minute cancellations create a real financial loss for them and for the business.
To protect our staff and keep our schedule running smoothly, we are posting our policy so all of our valued customers are aware:
❗ No‑Call / No‑Show: 50% of the scheduled groom will be charged
❗ Same‑Day or Last‑Minute Cancellation (less than 24–48 hours): $25 service fee
❗ Repeat last‑minute cancellers will be required to keep a card on file
We truly appreciate everyone who respects our time and our groomers’ livelihoods. These policies are not meant to punish anyone — they are simply necessary to keep our small business running fairly and sustainably.
Thank you for understanding and supporting our team.

SINGLE SENIOR FELINE SEEKS SINGLE/MARRIED SENIOR HUMAN TO BE EACH OTHER'S COMPANION IN OUR GOLDEN YEARS.

I am 12 years old, and love to loaf on the bed or couch with you.
I don't do the "snuggly or cuddly" stuff, but I will accompany you to the restroom, to make sure you are ok. I am not the needy type. Just feed me, pet me and love me. Oh, and I don't like other cats...just me & you please! A quieter, calm house with no little humans or other cats would be perfect!

I am currently in a foster home, but they are moving 7/28 and can't take me with them. I need a long-term foster, or a forever home to call my own. Please go to www.hudsonvalleyspca.org to get an adoption application today. The shelter is no place for me to be in my "golden years" once I lose my current foster home.... can you open your heart and your home to me?? Oh, by the way....my name is PUMPKIN. Thank you for your time and for sharing my story to help me find my humans!🧡

I WASN’T HUNTING IN YOUR YARD.
I WAS TOO SICK TO STAY HIDDEN.

You saw me in daylight.

Near the fence.
Near the trash cans.
Near the edge of the road where healthy wild things are supposed to know better.

Maybe you thought I was bold.

Maybe you thought I was dangerous.
Maybe you thought I was rabid.
Maybe you thought I had come closer because I had stopped being wild.

But I had not stopped being wild.

I had stopped being well.

I am a coyote.

I was built for distance.
For caution.
For moonlight.
For the quiet work of moving unseen.

But mange does not leave much dignity behind.

First it took my sleep.
Then it took my fur.
Then it took the warmth my body was meant to keep.
Then it took my strength.

Every itch became pain.
Every night became colder.
Every hunt became harder.
And little by little, fear stopped working the way it should.

So you saw me where you were never meant to see me.

In daylight.
Near houses.
Near people.

Not because I wanted you.
Because sickness had already taken too much from me.

Please do not try to touch me.
Do not try to feed me by hand.
Do not try to treat me yourself.
Do not let dogs chase me or confront me.

Keep children and pets away.
Take a photo or video from a safe distance if you can.
Note the exact location.
Then call a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, animal control, or your state wildlife agency for guidance.

Because I was not hunting your yard.

I was losing a battle under my skin
and running out of places
where pain could stay hidden.
