Heading to the lake, beach, or pool this summer?

Not all dogs are natural swimmers. Keep them safe:

- Use a pet life jacket, especially on boats.
- Never leave pets unattended near water.
- Rinse off chlorine or saltwater after swimming.
- Watch for blue-green algae in ponds and lakes.

🐾 Veterinarian Spotlight: Dr. Bendit 🐾

At Little Road Veterinary Clinic, we are fortunate to have an experienced and compassionate veterinarian who has dedicated his life to caring for animals and the people who love them. ❤️

Dr. Mitchel Bendit earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing veterinary medicine in Florida since 1986. With more than 30 years of experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and dedication to every patient he sees.

Throughout his career, Dr. Bendit has remained committed to providing high-quality veterinary care while building lasting relationships with pet owners. His compassionate approach and genuine concern for the well-being of his patients have earned the trust of countless families over the years.

When he’s not at the clinic, Dr. Bendit enjoys spending time outdoors boating, fishing, and biking with his wife, Lisa. He also loves relaxing at home with their beloved dog, Honey, and two rescue cats, who keep life fun and full of personality. 🐶🐱

Dr. Bendit’s passion for veterinary medicine and his commitment to our community make him an invaluable part of the Little Road Veterinary Clinic family. We are grateful for everything he does for our patients and clients each day! 💙

Hello there LRVC fam!

We wanted to shout out to one of our veterinarians as it is national veterinary week!

🐾Today we are recognizing Dr. Mango!🐾

At Little Road Veterinary Clinic, we are proud to have such a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian leading the care of our patients. ❤️

Dr. Mango grew up in Massachusetts and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Western New England College before pursuing her veterinary education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the beautiful island of St. Kitts. She completed her clinical training at the University of Florida in Gainesville and has been making a difference in the lives of pets and their families ever since.

Dr. Mango has a special passion for feline medicine but equally enjoys caring for canine companions. She is highly skilled in Urgent Care Medicine and is known for providing gentle, compassionate support to families during some of the most difficult moments, including end-of-life care.

Committed to staying at the forefront of veterinary medicine, Dr. Mango is a member of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association and holds both USDA Accreditation and Fear Free Certification.

When she's not caring for patients, Dr. Mango enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved cats—many of whom are rescues. Her dedication to special-needs pets is especially inspiring, as two of her rescue cats are paralyzed. She is passionate about educating pet owners on providing the best possible care for pets with unique needs. 🌟

Outside the clinic, Dr. Mango also has a green thumb and loves nurturing her beautiful orchids and African violets. 🌸

Quick Test: Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds. If you can't keep it there, neither can your dog.
