Meet Chad. This little fella has been through a lot. He finally finished his heartworm treatment and is ready for his forever family. Come meet this silly ham! He may take a minute to warm up, but belly rubs always win over fear 🐾❤️ we are open Saturday 12-4p. Hope to see you!

Disappointing update on Kitty Cabana. We have to close Kitty Cabana until further notice. We appear to have ringworm in the building. For our cats safety and health and for our visitors and potential adopters we felt this was the safest action. Please keep an eye on our FB page and our website. We will happily let everyone know when kitties are available.

If there were an award for “Spoiling Shelter Friends,” Ahsoka, Revan, and their amazing humans would definitely be in the running! ❤️🐾

They stopped by loaded down with food, puppy toys, leashes, harnesses, brand-new dog beds, bowls, and so many other goodies for our shelter pets. We think they may have needed a moving truck! 🚚😂

Seeing Ahsoka and Revan thriving in the loving home they were always meant to have filled our hearts. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Our mission for them is complete—they found the perfect home with the perfect people, and now they’re paying that love forward to animals still waiting for their own happy ending.

From all of us at SPCA Suncoast, thank you for your incredible generosity, your kindness, and for continuing to be part of our shelter family. Your support means the world to us—and to every wagging tail and grateful heart you’ll help along the way. ❤️

Our Puppies are 6 weeks old today. Girlfriend is 5.5lbs. The little fellas are 3.8lbs. We can see who the eater is. They are eating canned food, working on weaning them from momma. They are so much fun! Playing, adventurous and loving little rascals!

Still waiting on the Doberman people. Rex is still here waiting for his forever home. The guy loves to play and then come in and snuggle and watch Lifetime movies. Come and meet our boy!!!! He’s pretty great and makes it easy to fall in love!

Reba’s puppies opened their eyes yesterday!!! They are really ready for the world now!

Bubba boy is here to remind you that we will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, to let our team enjoy time with their family and friends and more likely help keep their own fur pups safe, comfy and stress free!

Have a wonderful July 4th. Be safe and keep your pets safe! Make sure to monitor them when they are outside. Stay with them. Make sure your microchip information is up to date.

A “little” update on Reba and her babies. They are 2 weeks old today. Still haven’t opened their eyes. 2 of the little Bubbas are 1.5lbs. Little Bambino (the runt) is 15oz. He’s slowly trying to catch up. I realized yesterday why they don’t want to open their eyes….. if this was my reality, I wouldn’t either! ❤️🐾

Feel Good Friday!!!!

Many of you may remember The Nibbler. We pulled this fella from a high kill shelter. He had horrible dental disease. He had cognitive changes. He was emaciated. With the help of Best Care Animal Hospital, we got The Nibbler in a healthier place. We worked so hard to find him the right landing place. We knew in our hearts this guy had plenty of life left in him, plenty of love to give, and so much joy to spread. On April 4th, I took this guy to meet Debra with Beagles and Friends Forever Rescue to find his finally landing spot. We are so happy to share his update. The Nibbler is doing Great! He recently had bloodwork done that looks amazing! He is doing exactly what we knew he would, share love, laughs and kisses (or nibbles 🥰). Thank you Debra and BFF Rescue for your love and commitment to this amazing pup.
