Join us tonight at Rosie’s Tavern in New Port Richey for an event hosted by the Community Service Council of West Pasco, Inc. We had the pleasure of attending and speaking at their meeting last week. It’s an incredible group of people making a positive impact on their community.

This is a pet-friendly event, so feel free to bring your furry friend along. Don’t forget to bring a donation for the shelter and get a photo with your pet.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and will be held at Rosie’s Tavern, located at 5728 Main Street. We look forward to seeing you there!

It’s heartbreaking. It’s unfair. And it’s happening everywhere. These aren’t “just pets.”
They are family. They are living souls. They love unconditionally—no matter how they’ve been treated, no matter what they’ve endured.

Across Florida—and in all 50 states—animals are being dumped at an alarming rate. Left on roadsides. Abandoned in neighborhoods. Found scared, starving, injured, and alone. Our boy William was returned. Instead of being negative about a pup they needed to return, these wonderful folks were very thoughtful about William, his traits, likes, and dislikes, and did a wonderful thing - they wrote a very heartfelt, positive note about him. They didn’t say he was a bad dog or a difficult dog. They understood that he is misunderstood and his past is a mystery. They were so kind about a pup that they realized wasn’t right for their family, and instead of saying he wasn’t right for any family, they shared all his amazing qualities and recognized that just because he didn’t work for them doesn’t mean he won’t work for someone else. So many people return a shelter pet and solely blame the pet. They label them based on the traits that didn’t make them a good fit for them. Thank you to William’s (Max) adopters who had to return him; you showed kindness for him. You advocated for him! We are grateful for that. With your help, honesty and compassion, William will find his forever family. 💕🐾
