🐶 Training Tip Tuesday: Threshold Manners! 🐾

Did you know that practicing threshold manners can help create a calmer, more polite dog? Waiting at doors, gates, or crate openings teaches patience, impulse control, and reinforces respect for boundaries.

During your dog’s boarding stay with us, we keep up with their basic skills, including threshold manners. Whether it’s waiting politely before exiting a door or sitting calmly before mealtime, these small habits make a big difference in their behavior at home, too!

👉 Try it this week—ask your pup to pause and wait before going through doors. A few extra seconds can reinforce great manners!

Someone sent me this wind chime in honor of Cassie. I absolutely love it. The wind making the pendant spin is the perfect representation of her joyous spirit.

On Wednesday, I picked up Daisy Mae for our adventure time service! We went to go hang out with our friends at @zoomroomsugarland! Her first visit was so much fun! She got the hang of the agility equipment so fast!

Martha is a 7mo old Rhodesian Ridegeback who has been doing 2 months of in-home private lessons and has been using her benefits as a premium boarding pup to attend private gym sessions with me to challenge her skills and gain confidence while we visit @zoomroomsugarland Interested in private lessons or premium boarding services for your dog? Martha is taking advantage of our off-site adventure add-on with a trip to Zoom Room in Sugarland! We rented the gym for a half hour for some confidence building and fun with the agility equipment! We had a ball! Off-site adventure add-on is available for boarding dogs during their stay. DM to inquire! Thank you, Zoom Room Sugarland, for providing a space for pups to play!
