Sometimes we in animal shelter get so focused on getting a dog or a cat into rescue or adopted that we get tunnel vision. Pictures have to be taken, then taken again to update the information. Emails being sent out to dozens of rescue groups. There are phone calls, vet visits, constant training and a lot of hope and prayer. With all that, sometimes we forget one very important thing. The transport driver. The driver who gives up their day. They get up way too early to drive to several different locations, load dozens of dogs and cats. They make sure those dogs and cats get to where they need to be. And if nobody is late for pick up, the weather is good and the traffic isn't too bad, they might get home before midnight. This is our driver Paula Brockman, she is our hero! Paula does the trip every week in all kinds of weather and all kinds of traffic. She always has a smile for us. She is always positive. So, Paula Brockman, Thank You for being an amazing person! You are a Hero to us at Washington county Animal Control!!
