South Bay Veterinary Clinic (SBVC) is located in Narragansett, RI, a beautiful coastal community approximately 35 minutes from Providence, RI. Our year round clients come from Narragansett and neighboring towns. In the summer months we welcome seasonal residents and vacationers. SBVC has been owned and operated by Dr. Caroline Bowater since 2006. As a solo practitioner, Dr. Bowater takes great pri

Our emphasis is on providing a "personal touch"...each animal that comes in through our door is unique and special and we make every attempt to treat them as such. Our clinic is a full service facility offering wellness and sick visits, X-rays, in house diagnostics, and surgical procedures. We treat dogs, cats, ferrets, pocket pets, birds, and exotics. Dr. Bowater is supported by a competent and caring team of veterinary technicians/assistants. We work together to ensure that our clientele feel comfortable to ask any questions or voice their concerns. We all know and understand what it is like to have a pet...they are indeed part of the family!

Chilly came from a hoarding situation before we got him, he was one of 72 and let’s just say there weren’t 72 litter boxes in the house… so now when he gets a clean litter box he loves to roll in the fresh litter! He has since we got him, kind of like a chinchilla having a dust bath- his coat is always smooth and never oily. He might be on to something!

Don’t furrget to use your rebates if you purchase any of these products for your pet there is a good rebate you should take advantage of it! The products we carry that would qualify are Movoflex (joint supplement), Effipro (topical flea & tick for cats) and Iverheart (heartworm meds). Happy birthday to our girl Sophie! 11 years of loving this sassy, sometimes scary, surprisingly snuggly adorable kitty of ours! 11 years gone in the blink of an eye. We got her when she was just 7 weeks old she was so cute, she grew into a beautiful cat! You know, minus these past few months when she had her haircut…it’s slowly and oddly growing back in now.
