We are officially at a breaking point.

Within the next 48 hours, we have 14 dogs arriving with nowhere for them to go. On top of that, dogs are continuing to return early from foster unexpectedly and every kennel we have is already full.

Arlo. Brady. Chai. Chip & Dale. Dakota. Hugo. Isabelle. Kali. Koda. Oscar. Ranger. Jersey. Bruno. Sonya. Spade. Sunny. Hunter. Theo. Princess. Sydney. Noodle. Danielle. Rebecca. Anika. Mocha. Katie. Rufasa. Piper. Remy.

These are not just names on a spreadsheet. These are dogs depending on us to figure it out somehow, again.

Our staff is exhausted. We can’t cancel transport so if we don’t find foster homes we will have to place them into boarding somewhere. This means double the amount of work for our already tired staff and double the cost.

Most of these dogs just need a temporary place to land for a few weeks while we work to find them forever homes. Supplies are provided and many are dog friendly.

If you have ever considered fostering, we are asking you to please step up right now. Even opening your home to one dog could completely change the outcome for us this week.

If you are already approved to foster, please email us ASAP.
If you are not approved yet, please start an application on our website today.

How cute is Happy Feet? This boy is 2 years old and weighs 9 pounds. He is a terrier mix. He is friendly, happy and active. He likes other dogs and people. When Happy came into rescue he had a back injury. He walks crooked but that doesn't stop him. He will need to be on daily meds for the rest of his life ( rimadyl) We know that there is a family out there for this precious boy. Please share for adoption, smalldogrescuene.org
