🖤🐾 It’s National Black Dog Day 🐾🖤

There’s something called “black dog syndrome,” which means black dogs often get overlooked in shelters just because of their coat color.

Today’s all about celebrating them and reminding everyone that every dog deserves a chance at a happy home. 🐶💙

How fun! So many awesome events for your pets in downtown Manteo for Halloween! 🎃👻

Your pup will NOT want to miss this huge event being held at Poodles and Bob and Bough and Vine in downtown Manteo on Saturday October 25th!!

Kicking off with registration for Dachtoberfest at 9:30 am, events include doxie and non-doxie races, festive photo op, and a 12 pm Pet Costume Parade around Magnolia Pavilion.

🐾💉 World Rabies Day — Sept 28, 2025 💉🐾

This year’s theme is “Act Now: You, Me, Community.” It’s a reminder that rabies prevention is something we can only achieve together.

🔹 Rabies is almost always fatal once symptoms appear
🔹 But it’s 100% preventable with vaccination
🔹 Protecting your pet also protects your family and neighbors

Keeping pets (even your indoor cats!) up to date on rabies vaccines is one of the simplest ways we can all play a role. Together, we can build a safer, healthier community. ❤️🐶🐱
