Some days are busy. Some days are emotional. Some days we leave covered in fur. Most days are a little bit of all three. Veterinary medicine isn't always easy, but getting to care for the pets in our community makes it all worthwhile.

Today we're celebrating the incredible people who make veterinary care possible, from veterinarians and technicians to assistants, receptionists, kennel staff, and everyone behind the scenes.

🐒 Happy World Sea Turtle Day! 🐒

Living on the Outer Banks means sharing our beaches with some pretty amazing wildlife, including sea turtles. Every year, loggerheads and other sea turtle species come ashore to nest on our beaches, and before long, tiny hatchlings make their way to the ocean.

If you're spending time at the beach this summer, a few small things can make a big difference: fill in any holes, knock down sandcastles, keep your distance from marked nests, and avoid using bright lights near the beach at night.

A special thank you to N.E.S.T. (Network for Endangered Sea Turtles) and their volunteers for the work they do protecting sea turtles and monitoring nests throughout the nesting season.

Pearl was coming into the clinic and she slipped out of her harness. She crossed the bypass at Danube and went towards South Ridge (behind the post office) She is a 4 year old tan and white mixed breed dog. She is microchipped but does not have a collar on.

𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 πƒπŽ ππŽπ“ 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐋. She is VERY skiddish to begin with and is even more scared.
